So what you're saying is that, based on no information whatsoever, you reckon that most of the UK's idiots voted leave.....I'd heard that, based on no information whatsoever, that most of the UK's idiots voted remain.........
If they had voted remain, remain would have won. But they didn't, because they were fooled with talks of "taking back our borders", "unelected eurocrats" and "brussels making our laws".

Slowly they're starting to realise the lies actually were lies. As seen by that video I linked - so confident in his reasoning to phone in yet when put on the spot, had nothing to back himself up with. Want proof? Just wait and see.

The "promised land" people thought we would become is nothing but a pipe dream.

You will not get any takers Pete.

For me though I know why I voted out and have said so on here, I admit there will be awkward times ahead to acieve our departure. THe EU lot in Brussels and the certain country leaders are upset because we dare to leave their "club".

But what I never hear or see from the folk who voted stay in is what did that hold for the UK.

European Union Finances 2015: statement on the 2015 EU Budget and measures to counter fraud and financial mismanagement

Joey that figure includes a thing called TOR. TOR - Traditional Own Resources payments - which is another word for custom duties/tariffs imposed on goods imported into the EU- TOR payments at 75 per cent to the EU. The remaining 25 per cent is retained by the UK to cover the costs of administering collection on behalf of the EU. This amounts £2.4 billion to the EU and the UK keeps £800 million. As this is paid by those exporting into the UK it is not an expense on the UK.

In 2015 the figure was £17.7 billion which includes £3.2 (TOR payment) = £14.5 billion includes VAT payment of £2.5 billion.

The UK gets a rebate - "the estimated value of the UK’s rebate in 2015 is €5.6 billion (£4.4 billion)" £14.5 billion - £4.4 billion = £10.1 billion including VAT.

The UK also receives this money,

"UK public sector receipts in 2015, mainly from the European Agricultural Guarantee (EAGF), European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Social and Regional Development Funds, are expected to be around £4.4 billion. The majority of these receipts will either be paid to, or used in support of, the private sector but are channelled through government departments or agencies".

£10.1 billion minus this £4.4 billion= £5.7 billion.

The UK also receives, "The EU makes some payments directly to the private sector, for example to carry out research activities. These payments do not appear in the public sector’s accounts. It is estimated that in 2013, these receipts were worth £1.4 billion. These payments are not included in Tables 3.A or 3.C-F, which provide data on public sector receipts only.

So that is £5.7 billion minus £1.4 billion = £4.3 billion includes VAT.

The cost of the UK being in the EU is £4.3 billion which includes £2.5 billion VAT.
My Google link beats your google link are you an accountant as you have cooked the books very well there or are you related to Bruce Wayne!?lol

Never fails to amaze me how people are somehow surprised by what is happening, and no doubt they'll be 'stunned' over the next four years plus - despite the fact that if they'd sifted through the obvious lies they were told about Brexit, they'd never have considered it, because it's pure lunacy.

But 'take back control' etc. etc.

To put it mildly, it hasn't even started to get bad yet. If people are shocked now...

It just seems daft to me that there was no plan to begin with, those that led the leave campaign have all essentially buggered off knowing there was no plan as they expected to lose, and now there is still no real plan of action.

Although I admit I voted remain, the current status of our leaving appears to be less than organised.

*This is not a critique of those who voted leave before people take this personally and get uppity*

Nobody knows though Tubey. The remainers who were so precise with the forecasts of recession, doom and despondency, have been shown up tbh. The remainers who just felt that not changing is a good course of action probably have the strongest argument. Those that wanted to leave did so for a huge variety of reasons, some you might probably never understand. The point is though that where we are today, no one knows. It may well be an adventure. But you know what isn't that better than just doing sod all.........

There was no plan. Just a vision. Now the plan is being worked up. Sometimes in life Groucho you have to go with a gut feeling, a bit like getting married. It may make no financial sense but what a journey.......
