So reading that 17.4 million had their arms tied up their back to vote out or the fact that the government under DC remain leaflets were sent out to every household at the tax payers expense promoting to stay in the EU costin 8-9 million pounds?
How can you relate that article as unfair as something as bad as that!
It's sounds a weak argument to me?
They will never except it Joey, the remain supporters have chosen to ignore any argument against them and simply dismiss any leave voters views. Nothing will get through to them, if over 17million voter's and a clear majority couldn't then nothing will. It's quite pathetic how far some of them will go to discredit the result.

Groucho is technically right though a referendum result could be legally challenged as the vote is only a guidence, but under the parliament debate agreeing 6-1 for a referendum in parliaments vote in favour of the ballot paper etc
It would be senseless waste of time to take it to any courts threats have been made, but personally I can,t see it happening!
I would have excepted the result to remain by now - 3 months on not just on this thread the media wrangle goes on!
I am sure we will leave the EU the public on a high turn out won to leave!

There are legal challenges. Some with pretty good grounds such as the breach of the Good Friday agreement

Glad those deplorable comments were removed. I hoped I was missing a point, but it was clearly a typical 'leave' voter showing their bigoted nature. @peteblue you are on the same side as this person...motivations aside.

Might wanna look at who supports your perceived ideology friend...you have some scary bedfellows.

It's a strange time at the moment. It seems the Tories are veering left economically/right socially in a bid to stave off UKIP on social matters, and pinch Labour voters on economic issues. Given that many Labour heartlands voted 'leave' I can easily see them taking some anti-globalization views to try and shore up their 'base'.

All of which leaves a large chunk of the 17 million or so who voted remain represented by who? There seems to be no one at the moment openly supporting openness, both economically and socially. As they are classic liberal values maybe the Lib Dems could recover, but I'm really not sure they're up to it at all.

I have a passing interest in politics, I despise it and avoid it where possible would be the truth, but my point is, I couldnt even tell you who the leader of the libs dems is, whether that says more about me, than them, im not sure, but my point still stands.

Indeed, they're a pretty feeble force these days, which is kinda bad as Labour are a mess, UKIP are snides but also a mess. There literally appears to be no opposition to the Tories at the moment, and they're going in a very bad direction imo.

I only see right movement with everything they are doing...both fiscally and socially.

Socially being the biggest problem...a massive setback. @peteblue gave a pass earlier to Brits born abroad...no problem he said. I wonder how he'd feel about a 3 gen Pakistani Brit born abroad or a 4th gen Indian Brit born abroad. Wondering how 'no problem' he'd actually have with with a 2nd generation Muslim Brit born in America. I reckon that them fellas don't fit his definition of a Brit.

Strange times indeed. Overt bigotry AOTS.

See, this situation is what is wrong with politics in general, and I say this irrrspective of party allegiance - when Gordon Brown took over without being elected, Theresa May was among those claiming "we need a general election".

Now she has taken over, "there's no need for an election".

They all need to grow up. Overgrown schoolchildren the lot of them. As @Bruce Wayne said the other day, total farce in U.K. politics.

I presume they will fail due to it being non-binding? id hazard a guess that they couldn't have had a legally binding referendum even if they had wanted to due to Good Friday etc

I really don't like this kind of insinuation, and I mean in general, not just about brexit. Just because you share a common view on one thing with an undesirable person or group does not mean you share all their views.

Hitler was a vegetarian. I guess that makes all vegetarians nazis.
