What gets me is the lack of any apparent "manifesto" by which leaving can be judged. This is allowed by Mr Equivalence et al saying that the campaign meant nothing when it came to implementing it, even though the government was stuffed full of people making the empty promises, hence we still get these crooks trying to pass off the physical act of leaving as the end in itself rather than the act of leaving actually delivering benefits to the country.Don’t disagree but there were a lot of reasons for this. Not many people are intensely pro eu or don’t admit it is without faults, whereas the leave campaign was able to paint this idea of a sunny utopia upon leaving. Notice the shift now to ‘10 year hit’ or ‘wasn’t implemented properly’ If that had been included in any leave campaign then we wouldn’t have ended up with the shitshow we have now.
