Roydo, this was covered a long time ago. Don't know why so many remainers cannot grasp it.
Neither the 'Remain' nor 'Leave' campaigns could promise anything, as they were both simply campaigning factions, who role ended come voting day. Neither campaign carried any Executive power to implement anything - that power rested with the Government of the day, and well you know it.

And, as I've posted previously, and you have read, I made my own mind up re remaining in the EU or not. Based on Cameron being knocked back by the EU on a whole range of issues a matter of several weeks before the vote (and being made a total fool in the process!), and the EU's response to matters like refusing the UK Government permission to help support our steel industry, and funding the removal of a particular part of the car/van industry in this country to a non-EU country.

I concluded (right or wrong in whosever eyes) that the EU bureaucracy didn't give a crap about the UK. But they were happy to take our £££. So, they can shove it!

Now, people can reply to this post, but I'm outta this thread, so I won't even be reading it...

Truth hurts eh?

You missed nationalizing the energy companies. They've had enough bail outs as it is.
This. Gas, electric and water should all be renationalise and run as a private business, all profit then should be ploughed back into the business and not handed out to people who least need it. In this day and age nobody should be benefiting from people who can’t afford to pay their bills. We all have a right to heat our homes without fear of falling into massive debt.

Even if he does, so what? The current issues are the responsibility of the Government to solve. That’s the bit that JRM, Nads and you seem to struggle with.

Yeah, I’m not in charge so I’m not saying anything. Even you earlier refused to put your own views across. I did. But it’s stand on the sidelines and carp about any proposals. I thought you were above that, I was wrong….

Just hang on a minute!

If you are not going to read the replies more importantly mine, I am going to punish you by sticking up an internal border, charging my businesses to do business with you, and I am going to impose economic harm on my country

Are you really sure you want me to do this?

There’s lots of noise on the Twittersphere and elsewhere about the Freeport / Charter cities / Investment zones initiative promoted by Brexit supporters.

Allegedly, this is the true idealogical intent of Brexit. (There has to be one)

Effectively giving control of large swathes of the country to corporations, free to make their own rules about local issues such as mineral extraction, fracking, policing and local taxation etc.

Charter cities is the description. The planned relaxation of labour laws within the Charter Cities, will allegedly require the UK’s removal from the ECHR for the scheme to work.

It all sounds like tin foil hatted nuttiness, are they really that mad ?

The alarms has predominantly been raised by a couple of persistent posters who many have dismissed as nut-jobs.

It does now seem to be getting serious attention.

Kinell

Bit more Charter City stuff.

That seems utterly alarmist clap trap if I am honest.

Like London decides to become a charter city, under one company, and is seperate from the Met, the NHS, HMRC, etc etc?

The free port thing has been a thing for ages anyrate. This move literally changes where taxes/duties are collected. Thats it.
