OK, not really answering my question.
In response to your points:
'who in their right mind would keep count.'
I doubt they did actually count but rather than saying x years and x months they wanted to add gravitas to their point by highlighting the larger and seemingly more disturbing figure. Don't think this is anything to get upset by and is just another way of saying the timeframe.
'He refers to the narrowest of margins, it was 1,400,000'
In election terms it was a 2% swing. When considering this, it is not a hard leap to accept the word 'narrowest', maybe still a bit hyperbole but it is not far off being difficult to debate against.
'yet all Brexit voters knew we would probably take a financial hit.'
I very much doubt all, but I assume you didn't mean it in the literal sense. If you meant majority, I would also debate that. The way the leave campaign was set out, there was very little in way of 'hardship', 'financial hits', the greed comment (I heavily assume) was solely aimed at the people it would not affect negatively, Farage, Johnson, etc.
'Bigotry, Xenophobia, lies, cheating and breaking the law'
'Not all Brexit voters are racist but all racists voted for Brexit'. One of the most truest statements to come out (Will Self, if I remember rightly). Immigration was used to stir up votes, that for me says that bigoty & xenophobia were weapons that were used to sway the vote in favour of leave. I also vaguely remember that they were proven to have broken the law in the leave campaign, might have that remembered incorrectly though. There were definitely lies, Farage literally admitted to the NHS receiving £300m as a lie the morning after the vote.
'Then with his full majesty tells us it was the wrong decision, yet I’m still happy with it as indeed are everyone I know. Then he tells us it will be wrong tomorrow based again on nothing at all,'
Are they not allowed to think that. You are allowed to be happy with the decision but you are yet to provide a comprehensive list of reasons as to why you are happy with the Brexit situation. I certainly accept that you are happy, but why are you happy? The tweeter did actually point out why he was unhappy and why he thought it was wrong with all the above points.
'Brussels, Poland and Hungary who the hell would want to part of that circus.…'
OK, the EU like any government organisation can be filled with in fighting, difference of opinion, red tape, etc. It has been like that since day 1 but when we were in the EU did any of that negatively affect the average person in the UK, especially to the extent that Brexit is affecting them now. Would we have been 100% engaged in this situation, who knows and how it would affected all the other Brexit negatives such as import/export laws, freedom of movement, human rights, etc., again who knows?
