My father in law was born in London to Italian parents who had fled from Mussolini. As he was visiting family when the second world war started he grew up in Italy. He came back in 1947, and finished school before 5 or 6 years in the British army. He has a strong Italian accent, but very good English grammar and vocabulary. He has always been chatty. After the leave vote, chatting with a stranger at a bus stop in London he was told to go back home to Europe.…

At the same time, classmates of my son in Kent (with dark skin) were being shouted at to go home, in the weeks after the leave vote.
These were not remoaners saying this - but leave voters.
Have you not seen what has happened to our country since?
