No one says we don’t like foreigners except Remoaners…just read this thread….
My father in law was born in London to Italian parents who had fled from Mussolini. As he was visiting family when the second world war started he grew up in Italy. He came back in 1947, and finished school before 5 or 6 years in the British army. He has a strong Italian accent, but very good English grammar and vocabulary. He has always been chatty. After the leave vote, chatting with a stranger at a bus stop in London he was told to go back home to Europe.

At the same time, classmates of my son in Kent (with dark skin) were being shouted at to go home, in the weeks after the leave vote.

These were not remoaners saying this - but leave voters.

Have you not seen what has happened to our country since?

Be real, please.

Two disgusting incidents, but how do you know which way any of the above voted. If you seriously believe that all the 17.4M people who voted to leave would do this, or that no one out of the 16M who voted remain would do so, then I believe you are wrong…….

I did not suggest for a minute that all people voting to leave the EU would act like that, or fell like that. But the whole process has brought out the worst in the minority who would, and do.

I would agree that a minority are doing this, and that undoubtedly similar things are being said to U.K. nationals in Spain, France etc. It’s an unfortunate part of the process and emotions stirred up deliberately by certain politicians such as Macron ….. it’ll settle down eventually…..

Can’t speak for everyone and anecdotal evidence for sure but not had any anti Brit sentiment here in Portugal. They’re too busy hating on Brazilians and Africans.
