Actually I’m quite comfortable with that as well…..
Considering how much of so many thumping the Brexit drum have their self-worth wrapped up in how Britain is viewed, I'd be surprised...
Actually I’m quite comfortable with that as well…..

At least the UK will now be free to choose the colour of their ration books - blue to match the passports would be a nice touch, no?
Its also because a lot of European Drivers have left the UK due to leaving the EU, as the shortage wasn't as apparent in 2019 and 2020. I work for a big company that supply airlines with food, and we have lost a couple 100 drivers across our depots.
The Yanks saved Europe, U.K. played a supporting role.I may still have one put away from the last time we had to save Europe….
Always thought it looked a very stressful job and would certainly not suit everyone so can’t imagine it’s high up people’s list of dream jobs.Apparently the U.K. has about 240,000 HGV drivers currently not driving. Just pay them an appropriate wage and there will be no issue….
It. Was. 80. Years. Ago.The Yanks saved Europe, U.K. played a supporting role.
Lest we forget, this is a government of a party who allegedly support not only business but also small government, and yet they're not only saying people who want to work here and companies that want to employ them cannot because they're foreign, but they're also centrally managing the labour market in a way that would make the Soviets proud.Always thought it looked a very stressful job and would certainly not suit everyone so can’t imagine it’s high up people’s list of dream jobs.
Getting the license isn’t easy either but it generally pays pretty decent. Sometimes it’s not so easy as ‘British jobs for British people’ Labour needs to be imported.
Exactly. They’ve sacrificed their supposed principles in order to appeal to a populist vote.Lest we forget, this is a government of a party who allegedly support not only business but also small government, and yet they're not only saying people who want to work here and companies that want to employ them cannot because they're foreign, but they're also centrally managing the labour market in a way that would make the Soviets proud.
Neighbour is a HGV driver he's gone sometimes at 3 in the morning, our dog goes mental when the lorry starts, and wakes up the whole house.. I'd hate a job that requires that kind of early start..Always thought it looked a very stressful job and would certainly not suit everyone so can’t imagine it’s high up people’s list of dream jobs.

Not unusual as it sounds, lad in my street sometimes parks his cab up in the car park opposite me if he’s home. (Not with a trailer on though ?)Your neighbour takes his HGV home?
