This. Mate of mine only does short haul driving so doesn’t have the ‘away from home‘ bit, but the pay is dreadful and has been kept down by cheap EU Labour. They do a hard job and have to have additional ‘training’ every couple of years. Couple this with the rise in lazy buggers who cba going to Tesco’s and have everything delivered at home and you have a perfect storm…..
admittadly, I don't know a lot about this but I find it hard to believe that the problem can be boiled down to cheap EU labour and people getting their groceries delivered!
Well, you've left the EU so maybe it's time to shut down the internet to free up delivery drivers!

I’ve never felt so alone ….

That would be fine if we were actually better off trading with those countries but we aren't. We've had a smattering of deals and that's about it. Many of those have replicated those we had as a EU member. Isn't the Japan deal worse? We've potentially binned off our own farmers for a trade agreement with Australia. A country that happens to be on the other side of the globe to use. A country of a population of 25milion. 15m less than Poland.

Early days. Within 5 years we will have forgotten the EU….
