Again pete not arguing with that there is a degree of hyperbole and my opinion on people who lose staff it’s because they don’t generally look after them but to pretend there has been no impact across the board would be to be disingenuous.

Staffing issues in your village for example are unlikely to be impacted by losing EU citizens even to a degree Liverpool , London that’s a different conversation. Ultimately nationally there has been an impact on hospitality, clearly it varies depending on where you are with most on facing a minor impact but there has absolutely been an impact .
Generally better to look at the big picture rather than individual anecdotes isn't it? I think the Beer Association (or whatever they're called) wrote to the government recently complaining about supply issues.

Tweaks, amendments, whatever, everyone seems to agree that changes are required…..obv apart from the EU….
Yeah but you are preaching WTO membership blithely because you and the Tories refuse to accept there cannot be a ‘Brexit’ while your border is enforced in Ireland.

You are floundering. You abrogate moral responsibility with calls of let the EU or Ireland impose a border and all it delivers when it this is all a problem of England’s making.

Dont give me the nonsense of its for the people of Ireland to decide our future. We voted to Remain.

At some point very soon the average Brexiteer will put away the delusions of grandeur and conclude the UK is now just a Middling European power. They will get there in the end just like the 48% did in the beginning.

The UK does have a lot going for it, but we're not a US or China who can drive the international agenda on their own. Whether Pete likes it or not, the EU has parity with those two by virtue of speaking on behalf of 27 countries, and we've seen its influence with things like GDPR, digital taxation, and to an extent climate change. So the only way the UK can have similar influence is if it cozies up with AN Other major power, which then reduces the sovereignty that was apparently so important.

Risk a border going up between NI and the ROI, which would possibly cause the collapse of the GFA. Which would anger the US President and his administration. So no trade deal with the US and possible sanctions against us if Biden is angered enough.
