See above Joe. Plenty of people who have every right to be here have been receiving menacing letters from the Home Office.
Did they apply in time I can remember ages ago they were told to do so as free movement has ended ... & don't leave it to late as problems in the future may arise if you did not apply on time plus COVID-19 has not helped - I had murder sorting my tax out with the tax office hours on the telephone I can imagine many difficulties over residency if it was like what happened they tell you this they tell you that etc - working from home etc - I do sympathise any problems mine was an inconvenience, residency is far more crucial issue ....

Most were British citizens, having lived here decades with British children etc. The Home Office are a shambles.

Yes they are not the best at times but with the pandemic I made four 60 minute telephone calls over my tax plus they are working on opening times on reduced hours because of the pandemic working from home etc I agree it's a mess - even local authorities are in the same mess in certain departments ...
The furlough scheme has caused good and major problems ....
The DVLA in Swansea is also a mess....
Look I agree with your sentiments of the crisis on EU workers... or lifelong citizens ....

True - Mays go home vans springs to mind - Oh & what a mess she made of the negotiations ...... they should take he PM pension for life of her along with David Cameron
Succession of poor PMs making decisions about Brexit. Cameron, May and Johnson.

So we are now where we are...

A Government claiming unforseen circumstances from a deal they negotiated and signed, fir circumstances that were entirely foreseeable, which were pointed out to Government and leave voters and were dismissed by Brexiter politicians as "Project Fear".
