So thats done!

Its my lad and his mates fault. Bloody millenials.

Sorry Roydo, but we just look at things differently. A great portion of my life has been spent addressing how to overcome detailed issues and difficulties that stop things from happening, so I tend to try and find out what is needed to be done to resolve an issue rather than just look backwards as to how an issue came about. I appreciate that Brexit has caused this issue for musicians but what is done is done, for me the only questions left are how any difficulties can be overcome.....

Well thats all well and good. But why would you support a policy that actively introduces issues and difficulties into a pretty robust arrangement in the first place?

Like I have said, the politics and all that within the EU, and the annoyance with that, I get. I share it.

But they, (politics) dont really intrude into peoples everyday life.

As for overcoming the new difficulties, you are basically asking the EU, who you hate, to accomodate what ever whim the UK wants.

Why should they? They are one of the largest trading body in the world.

As an ex businessman, I would have thought careful pragmatism and protection of your market would trump a "lets see what happens next" approach.

And it wasnt like no one pointed some of this out.

What I don’t get is the fact we were part of decision makers who made these rules whilst we were still EU members.... nos we’re out the rules all of a sudden are no good and punishing us lol ... you couldn’t make it up

Rules should evolve to take account of circumstances. The EU’s largest trading partner is now outside and just 20 miles away. It can stick to the current rules and lose or amend the rules and everyone gains....just a matter of choice....

So now we’re out they should change the rules ? Sorry mate, the tail doesn’t wag the dog.

Leavers who were told they couldn't have their cake and eat it. Are now crying about how they can't have their cake and eat it. Delusional British exceptionalism, or just trolling?

Then fine, just carry on as we are. Mind you I read today that even though the U.K. gave an extended grace period for EU goods coming to the U.K. (because we are naive like that) U.K. shoppers have reduced purchases of EU produce by a third. Should be fun for them when the grace period is over as well......

I think you’ll find the only ones complaining about the musician situation here were Remain voters......

So; Where the fiendish EU have maintained their horrific bureacracy (that the UK helped create) it should be changed where it negatively effects Leave voters but ignored where it effects Remain voters.
Any negative consequences should be completely ignored as the result of EU vengeance as we must look to the future while any positive benefits, however small, must be the subject of days of banner headlines in the right wing tabloids and repeated relentlessly.
No hypocrisy there at all.

We gave 4500 EU financial firms the right to carry on working in the UK sector as well .
I think that's a good thing as it sends a message out to the world we are not a closed shop the EU are not sending the same message out,
I still say the EU have made a big error not getting a deal in place to cover Financial sector here, it still covers 75% of EU trading on some markets and most of the ones were you need to look for large loans for investment for infrastructure ect it will cost them more to borrow if they continue on there current path.

Wait until travel becomes feasible again. You won't believe how mean the EU will be when checking our passport and visa. Why they can't do the sensible thing and give us free movement I'll never know.
