Bruce, can you tell me how the U.K. leaving the Eu will result in tens of millions of people across Europe not getting a vaccine. Now maybe, just once, you can point the finger at the real villains of the piece in Brussels. The EU would have kept you in total ignorance of this cock up if it wasn’t so visible because the U.K. is rolling the stuff out....Brexit has done the whole of Europe a favour here.....
I don't think many here would argue that the vaccination program in Europe hasn't been a complete balls up. What I, and perhaps others, take umbrage at is your apparent reveling in the turmoil caused across Europe, simply because of your hatred for the EU.

TBF I think in Petes case there is at least as much of a wish to decoy away from his lots handling of this as there is about anything about hating the EU.

It goes largely unreported that my Great British Government has restricted the export so far of 174 medicines that are proven manage people who are poorly with COVID.

The sheer stupidity of not getting everyone vaccinated at the same rate and time is breathtaking. At best if this mindset continues we will be lockdown for months longer maybe degrees of lockdown for years, at worst and very possible we contribute to vaccine resistant virus

Its akin to locking yourself in a air tight cabin with limited oxygen on a submerged broken in half submarine, and crowing oh look I died last...
The reason they were stopped from export was that the drugs are all widely used in the NHS prior to COVID-19, and the government did not want them getting hoarded while the price went up making profiteers a fortune in the process.
While causing a shortage of dugs that were already meant for NHS use.

In an ideal situation, this would be the path followed, but its a start from zero against the clock matter. To produce enough vaccine to inoculate 7,874,965,825 people at once would be a mind-boggling effort that would have taken an age to achieve and that is not even taking into consideration the feasibility of developing specialist supply chains with adequate cold chain facilities across the developing world. I am not saying that I disagree with the sentiment or ideal case logic, just the feasibility.

Basket case of a thread this at the moment.

The most nationalistic and entrenched in the thread calling out criticism of the EU, by remainders, as evidence that europhiles won't criticise the EU.

I find it hard to believe that some people are gloating over this fiasco.
There is a dangerous shortage of vaccine.
Example. The University hospital of Limoges, the biggest hospital in the whole Li. mousin region is scheduled to carry out a mere 3250 vaccinations in the next 28 days. Thousands of over 75s remain un vaccinated.
And some people on here actually joking about the situation. GB 1 EU 0.

It's pretty grim tbh.
It's always a bit grim, but it seems to be a weird mix of schadenfreude and frothing anger.

Ultimately we will need the EU, they are our closest neighbors, they will be responsible for production of vaccines we will need and a continued supply of many other things. A sensible relationship with them is in everyone's interests.

We've left the EU. Fair enough. Yet we seem to be walking a line between pretending now we've left it doesnt exist, to wanting it's complete irradication.

It would be a strange thing to gloat over for anyone else, but Pete's complete disregard for non-British human life is fairly well known at this stage.

In life you worry about your family first, which is what is driving the comments from @Bruce Wayne , then you worry about yourself, then your friends and colleagues, then the area in which you live, then your country, then other countries that need help. Anyone saying otherwise is telling porkies.....
