The other side of the planet is where all the growth is......

You do realise that pretty much every deal we get with this Pacific group we want to join, we have already rolled over from the EU ones we had?

Not saying its a "bad" thing, but it isnt something we dont already have.

And if all we end up with is the same deals, but without the Political link up, laws and directives, that is a result...however I fully expect the U.K. to up its game in a bigger market and prosper.....

So do I.

Maybe we will be able to replace the billions that have left the LCH over the last few days, who knows.

It's not the same deals if we go into the organisation, tariffs get dropped on certain things and markets that are currently closed to us open up, if it just stayed the same it would really make much difference to are GDP as things stand with the current deals, but getting access into a growing market in the future could have a greater impact.
There has been unofficial talks on stronger links to Australia's/NZ /Canada for about two years, couple of interesting YouTube documentaries on the subject

What are we going to give up in return? What tariffs are we reducing, what standards will we be expected to cede on?*
What laws do we currently have that conflict with CPTPP membership?*
How does it improve on the EU deal?

*What industry in the UK will then be most affected/advanced?

Food standards was the one that stood out for me. Most of the other stuff was aspiration sort of stuff.

Thats the klaxon to me if Merica joins, which it will.
