You are arguing just for the sake of it tbh. The U.K. has delivered more vaccines than Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland combined...if AZ say the gap is ok and the U.K. health people say the gap is ok, I’m more than prepared to believe them because they almost certainly know more than you or I......

Not really, and that clearly wasn’t my point, but by all means keep up the good work. I’m sure your betters appreciate it.

Sadly it seems pervasive. The Czech health ministry have just announced a pause of all vaccines, which will delay the vaccination of the most vulnerable (over 80s and health workers) until the end of March. The delivery of the Moderna vaccine has also been disrupted, with just 80,000 doses delivered next month rather than 110,000.

What’s the population, 10-11 million ? , those numbers are ridiculously low anyway. Meanwhile the EU are still trying to bully AZ to pull the drugs out from the U.K. factories for societal and moral reasons... If they hadn’t already pulled the stunt of drug export licences I would have let them have some...

“for societal and moral reasons”

well done pete, you’re in the gutter again

That is what I believed also, but I don’t know the numbers of the mix of vaccines and we don’t know the planned dates for second doses for individuals. Either way, we either trust our Scientists and NHS or we don’t ......
Prof Chris Witty...
You either believe and follow the science or you don't. By doing what they have done with the doses it is estimated that a circa 20,000 deaths can be avoided.

A touch over 10 million, yes. They didn't really have a vaccination plan until earlier this month so the whole thing has been quite shambolic, especially when coupled with a relatively high anti-vaxx sentiment in the country. They've already had delays because of issues manufacturing the Pfizer vaccine. It's not a good situation, especially considering the British variant of the virus hasn't really taken off there yet.

The EU needs to be looking at additional production facilities across Europe, a bit like the Sanofi one you mentioned. India have Serum producing 50 million doses of the Oxford vaccine per month and hope to ramp it up to 100 Mpm...
If they spent less time covering their collective backs, trying to stitch up AZ , and pulled their finger out they could do this....
