All about trade though innit.

“The poll also reveals significant support for the European Parliament. But most Europeans appear to believe that the existence of the Parliament is of secondary importance, when compared with the ability of the EU to 'deliver effective action'. Policy outcomes seem more important than political process”...

Should we point them towards the Coronavirus / Vaccine thread ?.....

Scrabbling for anything really, ain't ya?

The truth always hurts...and your much vaunted protectionist bloc is merely doing what people like myself always said they would do, although even I did not think they would attempt to block a lawfully ordered vaccine. They are hitting a new low with this and it’s visible to even the most ardent Remainers ......

They’re not doing what you’ve always said they’d do. You’ve proven time after time that you have absolutely no understanding of the workings of the EU or much in the way of anything remotely complex.
Most Remainers do not think the EU is some perfect order - unlike the way jingoists like you view Britain - but to see you complain about the way they act when you want Britain to do the same is ridiculous.

So you think they are right to look to stop the export of vaccines to the U.K...seeing as you think you know how the EU works and what with your great knowledge of managing complexity.....

Didn’t say that... It’s you who is supportive of Britain making sure it looks after itself and to hell with others.

All the EU are doing is threatening they’ll block exports if AstraZeneca don’t fulfil their contractual obligations. I’m not saying it’s right but it’s not quite how you’ve framed it.

Hold on, if AstraZeneca cannot fulfil an order you are happy for the EU to block exports from Pfizer... and I’m more than happy that anyone who placed an order before the U.K. receives it......

I literally said 'I'm not saying it's right'

I'm not sure you actually know what you are supposed to think

You state 'protectionist bloc' as though that's a negative thing, but that's *literally* the raison d'être of such a union, where you reap the benefits of membership through fewer barriers to trade - it's not hard to understand. They stated themselves as clear as day, over and over again, that this is what would happen if you opt to leave, with market access being less and less favourable as the regulatory alignment between the two parties reduces.

I have no problem with their bloc as far as the U.K. is concerned. I just want us to act the same way with them as they do with us. Nothing difficult, just the same.....
