I knew exactly what I was typing there Bruce. ;)

Her record in charge of the countries track and trace is quite appalling, and the fact that her husband is a serving Tory MP and champion of anti corruption is quite simply staggering. You couldn't make it up.
Surely that was the relevance that you and the publican couldn't work out yesterday.

Since 2016 a lot more than £350m per week extra has been sent on our NHS

I was not referring to anything to do with covid though. Obviously billions extra have been spent on the NHS due to the pandemic, a large portion of it wasted, but I see that as an exceptional.

The fact I stipulated "due to years of austerity" is evidence of this. You work within the NHS don't you. Are you denying that spending on the NHS has increased by more than £350m pw since 2016?

They went with the figure produced by the OBR stating the amount of money paid by the U.K. to the EU as if on a weekly basis.

here is the bus....

The £350 million a week is correct. Nowhere does it say spend £350M per week on the NHS....
Exactly. It is an exhortation to use the amount that was currently sent to the EU as we see fit, i.e. put more money into the NHS. The £350 million being a gross figure, pre-rebate.

The Covid thread and the comments on the South African virus varient just shows how misinformation can be spread on social media.
People have made comments and even questioned the source. Apart from "some Oxford boffin" nobody has said where this opinon comes from and check whether it is a reliable source.
Won't be long before we're seeing the likes of " New Deadly African Virus Terror" and the likes.
It's so easy to spread panic.

Because, regardless of Covid, the Government has, as reported frequently in the media, 'squandered' billions of pounds on a rest and trace system unfit for use, lead by Dido Harding. The inference being, that the government spending 'a lot more than £350m a week hasn't in fact been given to the NHS but wasted on cronyism and mismanagement. Is that what you were getting at @orchard ?

Once more I find myself having to ask you to explain your post.

Why would I, or anybody else for that matter, have a computer that autocorrects Dido and replaces it with Dildo?
Prediction based on frequency of usage.
