anybody got a link to the story about the affect on jobs in the Uk and EU if we have trade restrictions, levy's,
Study was out this morning with the figures it was on the BBC 4 news , before 6 am cant find any links it anywhere , I was still to sleepy headed to take them in.

It's a big step into the unknown, but I hope after a bumpy exit the UK will prosper for the younger generation if we can start making things again in new technologies free of polictical EU dogma one can only hope as the people have voted out!
TBH after 43 of membership it's going to take time years in fact IMO!

You mean making stuff that doesn't meet decent safety standards?

No I mean the fact we can make our decisions without 27 other countrie voting in unison that we can all have fish for dinner!
yes that correct any vote needs not a majority but all 27 countries to agree with us also horrified to hear they also controlled on trade deals outside the EU disgusting organisation going down the plughole little hitlers the lot of them good riddance to their political laws, and control - trade that's ok its business on our terms not theirs ok we are OUT!

Joey, not being funny, but what does that actually mean?

Most of our current R&D budget in our Universities and funding for science and technology innovation comes from the EU.

We'll never be able to export to the EU if our products don't conform anyway
its our money our contribution run at a deficit so how and why are you bragging about the EU giving some of our monies back?????
FGS we are out we will be able to spend 11 billion on better things + the items you mention maybe even put more monies in they tell us how to spend our membership????
Its like your boos giving you a £3000 rise and tell you how you have to spend 75% of it you would tell him to stick it correct?

The £2 Trillion plus will include many pension funds and no doubt Mr Brown's raid on the NuM was a contributory factor. But there have been plenty of others with their fingers in the pie.Record Govt borrowing has not helped at all. This makes interesting reading.Just a short overview piece.

They are all the same but the EU takes more of us per annum also our rebates they tell us what we have to spend it on what a joke of a organisation that's going down the plughole!

Err

BS5750?

The old 'kite mark'?

ISO 900?
Or the french farmer with six sheep and 2 hens getting top EU cash aid from the common agricultural policy, or years ago when they were struggling they burnt our lamb to stop it flooding the french market urm great friends and why do you want to be a member of an EU with overall the other 27 countries with zero growth????

What £11BN is this? *we've done this before*

If we don't end up with access to the single market, then our GDP will fall by an amount far greater than our net 0.4% current contribution to the EU, so there'll be net gain to the treasury

Welcome to the point.

sorry but we trade at a deficit on our membership contribution , and if our GDP goes up as it has been doing while theirs slumps we pay more membership we are in deficit of this organisation every year google it and put on hear where we make a plus to the contributions we pay?
Then also work out how much it costs in tax credits - Housing benefits - child tax credits to EU citizens with free movement as it stands now they can move here unemployed!

They can - but they don't get a bean for 3 months, after 3 months they can claim JSA for 3 months - but no housing benefit - after 3 months then if they can't prove they have an imminent chance of work i.e. a job offer, then they get nothing.

What part of the EU migrants that live in the UK make a net contribution to the economy, are you struggling with mate?

You've spectacularly either missed (or totally avoided) my point about our current contribution btw. We pay 0.4% net of our current GDP, if we don't end up with access to the single market our GDP will fall - therefore the treasuries pot will reduce pro rata. It won't have to take much a dip for the 'saving' to be equal or less than - nowt.

You trust this government to spend this money on R&D, NHS, farm subsidies, urban development...?

No, it'll disappear and/or minor tax drop for the well off.

wrong the government has already pledged the subsidie to framing and science will be backed as it is now in the EU till 2020 till we get out then we will probally have more money to go around like getting our fishing quotas back!

Right -
We suffer an £8bn net loss to Europe."
£500 billion cost since joining the EU

He was referring to the level of the UK's contribution to the EU Budget - there have been loads of figures for this bandied about, so here are some of the amounts you may have heard and where they come from.

The figures that most people are using are HM Treasury figures from 2014, because the figures for 2015 are only estimates at the moment.

All they've guaranteed is that they'll honour bids won and signed before the Autumn budget until their completion, together with keeping the current agricultural funding in place until the next election year (spooky timing)

'Probably have more money to go around' - I give up.
