The EU deal? I havnt read it, so no idea if its better, worse, or basically the same. But as long as the supply lines and distribution stuff is the same, then thats fine by me.
Looking at the chart posted on here, it appears that only the duty and quotas are aligned. Good because that stops all the counter duty stuff, like say, I tax your fish 10%, so you tax my wine 12%. Stops things spiralling out of control.

But country of origin and SPS checks look to be required. So in terms of supply, we would have to get a certificate from the chamber of commerce to prove origin, any dairy would require defra documents and a very expensive vet to be present to fill them out. Heat treated pallets are also still required as is my understanding.

Seems like they are playing to the crowd with the zero tariffs but considerable cost and time will still be added to supply. Government will still make a load of cash. But they will avoid all the hassle of negotiating duty. Win win for the government, cost of goods will still go up.

Is the way I read it anyway. :)

What does that mean lad? You biased against scousers?
Burnley.......
lol :):coffee:

Not at all. Large portions of my family are scousers hence the everton upbringing.

But liverpudlians seem to think all labour voters love the EU. Simply not the case.

Liverpool has done very well out of the EU since Maggie tried to exterminate the city, totally get that. But vast areas of the North and the Midlands haven't been so lucky

Feck off you lying mess of a pm...take your incompetent cabinet with you.....Twunt.
(Nothing to do with Brexit this comment, just an opinion on the worst PM in our history... but he is funny isnt he? Tory crap)

How about calming down and realising people have other opinions. For all the moral high ground remainers take, and their love of calling brexiters thick, inbred ot take your pick... the mask slips quite often

Surprised by the jubilant reaction to this deal in the UK media.

Very little good in it from a UK perspective. Here’s how it’s being reported on Europe and a break down of rights lost for UK citizens.

A look at the detail: What is in the Brexit trade deal?

Now we need to announce the building of a new Royal ship Britannia to shoot around the globe oiling the wheels of trade deals and flying the flag. We’ve been sat on our bleeding hands, moping around for too long. Build or buy a ship, use one of the Carriers if need be, and get our salesmen and women out there doing deals....come on Boris this is what you were made for.......

You must excuse him, he’s been through a difficult name change.....
