Bad news this. Oh sorry it's good news.
Do people not look into this stuff properly or do they just skim read a single report and make their own assumptions. The bbc report is so poorly worded. The third county status allows us just to continue to trade. As in, without it, they wouldn’t allow trade with us at all. It’s not some massive concession. It’s saying you can still export to us. You meet our standards.

It doesn’t mean there’s no implications at all to brexit and that everything is the same as before. In fact, the agricultural industry reckons the frictional costs will be at least 4-8% pa in the best case scenario.

it also means that the U.K. would need to continue to keep up with EU regulation (with no say in that process any longer) or third county status will be withdrawn. That’s the real issue tbh. But that will take time to play out.

No it isn't.

But there were only 2 people taking part in the conversation that Pete replied to. You and I. Do you expect me to assume he was referring to you when making those comments?. OK. Lad.

Don’t be upset, there was no reference to yourself in the pigswill (nice description by the way). It was just the usual outpouring from the usual arsehole.....

Fair enough.

But if it was me who had made a post that had been taken the wrong way by somebody, I'd have held my hands up and said sorry mate I wasn't referring to you. We could have both moved on.

I wouldn't have accused him of playing the victim.

It was hard to resist, what with you playing the victim.

The 'He' in the context of the post was @tsubaki but the inference of who I was talking about I thought was obvious...maybe a little subtle for some (I don't think I was being subtle at all).
I get the Pete bit, but you were responding to one of his posts so I didn't quite get the third party narrative. I didn't get the tsubaki bit either given he's probably the GOT member most unlike the character description. And it's not as if you and I don't have history in here.

Anyway, I accept now you weren't referring to me, it's just a shame you couldn't have done it in a more civil manner initially rather than calling me a victim.

I don't want to spend Christmas eve arguing so let's move on.

I've no idea if the beer you sell in your pub is pigswill mate because I've never tasted it. But I'd never assume it was pigswill just because you're somebody I always disagree with on an internet forum. I'd wait until I'd tried it first before I told you. But that's just me.

Well you got to do your laughing emoji at Pete calling me an arsehole so I hope you feel better about yourself now.

(The third party narrative clearly not lost on you in that post :coffee: )
