The French also helped to slow down their onward transport to Argentina as I remember....
In fairness to France, they actually put an embargo on the sale of more Exocets to Argentina once the conflict broke out. Thankfully, because they were so expensive they apparently only had 4 missiles in total, which was why they were so sparsely used. Had they been able to get their hands on more I dread to think what would have happened.

The French did stop selling them, but the company that manufactured them had a team of technicians working throughout the conflict, in Argentina, they helped repair the missiles the Argentines (think it was 5, from memory)had as they were missing the target, these fixed missiles were later used on the Sheffield ect.
In 2012 the papers became public over this, the BBC Investigated and found one of the French so called technical team was a member of the DGSE, the French version of MI6.
Belgium refused to sell /supply ammunition and small arms to the UK during the conflict.
Israel supplied arms and ammunition to Argentina during the conflict as well .
Despite the UN saying that the Argentine government was to stop the conflict from the beginning, dont forget the Argentine regime at the time was widely considered to be unsavoury workdwide
The USA wouldnt let us use there airbase doing the war but did offer ,other forms of help covertly, but never openly supported the UK
With friends like these who needs enemies.
We should start taking a more UK generic view of the world and not look after are interested first like others do, we are not the policeman of the world anymore why act like we are what do we gain from it but more hostility?
I am Half hoping Bidon is a bit hostile to the UK as we can finally distance are country away from the so called special relationship with the USA.
The French have it about right with the USA cordially friendly but there own interests always first.
