Davis has been ridiculed by a lot of political commentators today.
Yes because he a answered his questions without letting the EU were he was coming from at least he answered them sincerely truthfully as untill article 50 he is snookered - he did say the WTO was biting the bit to do brand new trade deals with us, and the Irish question was in hand to be boder less no checkout points etc
Labour and the SNP wanted every negotiations on the table thick lot or what!
Let's let the EU know what deals we want before we sign article 50 my guess is Liam Fox is beavering away to get trade deals with India, China etc so when we start negotions we will be in a position of power!
The Japs the yanks an threaten all they want he was in total control IMO!

I'm amazed we don't have trade deals with the entire Commonwealth already tbh, it's been a month after all. I mean don't they know who we are?

Remoaners mate........ I read that approx 2/3rds of people are now actually ok with Brexit, and it's only the complete Europhiles who are still hanging on........we'll be fine outside of the Eu but with a trading relationship.......

It's wasn't actually exclusively remainers, just his performance has been widely ridiculed nothing to do with policy.

If you garnered from yesterday that he was in total control you're in the minority.

It's a funny old world where people happily vote for something with no plan behind it, and then quite happily sit by whilst no plan emerges afterwards either. There was an interesting piece in the Economist this week about Trump supporters merrily following him regardless of what he does or says. Seems quite apt.

Are you just upset because we didn't end up in the crap that the 'experts' said we would. Amazingly we are still doing Ok, not heading into recession and member countries within the Eu seem to want to deal with us, as some of us actually said. No one believes it's going to be easy, but the game is not just about the Eu, as I've said many times there's a big world out there......

That's quite a disgraceful comment tbh Bruce. You try to align the Brexit vote with Trump. When will you ever accept that a majority of our population voted to leave. They were not Racists, they were not idiots, for a whole variety of reasons they wanted out. I voted out, I am not a racist and I am not an idiot. I don't take risks and have spent the majority of my life applying logic and experience to complex situations to determine outcomes. The UK will put it's plans together, we will negotiate deals and we will prosper. What we won't be doing is being controlled and led by Brussels....

Some euro growth figures out today or tomorrow, expected to show some growth, but depending on the levels there might be some need to take action on there monetary plans, could be interesting.
I know we are not supposed to be doing deals till we leave the EU , but if anybody thinks we or other countries are not already putting the feelers out they must be mad, neither parties have anything to gain by showing there hand at this stage, so I don't know why people expect Davies or anybody else to say anything with much substance on the matter at this stage.

Lets be honest Pete, all that's happened thus far is the BoE have printed billions of pounds, reduced interest rates even further, and devalued the pound to promote exports. That's what has kept things as they currently are, not any belief that Davis et al will lead us to the promised land.

They may well do that, but how anyone can really tell is beyond me as they haven't said a thing, either before the vote or after it, on what exactly Brexit means (apart from Brexit).

Did you not see Farage lauding it on stage with Trump last week saying how Brexit was just like what Trump is trying to do?

service industries have posted growth to pre Brexit levels as well.
Interesting thing Bruce mate I voted out, and I couldn't do more than hazard a guess at what the final outcome will look like, if I am honest, but to me the uncertainty was a price worth paying to get away from the EU, postal workers directive, treatment of Greece, the forthcoming Italian debt problem all played a part for me, cant speak for anybody else but I quite liked the fact it gave the establishment a boot in the balls as well, not very grown up but at least I admit it.
