What sort of life in France are they escaping. I thought you all believed that the EU was heaven on earth, or have I missed something.....how many refugees are going the other way ?

I think you need to do some research into the conditions they’ve been left in, in France mate.

This is the thing that’s wrong with nationalism. Normally someone wanting a load of innocent people’s lives to be put at risk would be considering a sick individual - you call those innocent people refugees and you’re all for them living their whole lives in refugee camps or being sent back to war torn countries to die.

It’s the same as when a group of people who have been persecuted for literally hundreds of years over the fact there is more melanin in their skin have protests over another innocent persons murder at the hands of police, and they get branded as anarchists, thugs, and (inexplicably) Marxists.

Consider this question: Why do you care more about some people than others based on the island, or landmass they were born on?

Why do you like a Brit more than someone from Iraq, or France, or Nigeria, or Brazil or wherever? To me it’s never made any sense.

Well the life that refugees /migrants are escaping from in France are,
1. Festering wild campsites which are regularly raided and destroyed by the paramilitary gendarmerie.
2.continual papers checks and reporting to the police or social security offices.
3.living sans abri under the motorway and railway bridges in Paris and other big cities.
That's 3 things to start with.
I have met some of these migrants which have been rounded up in Paris or Calais and recycled to rural towns like ours.
Most want to go to England. Why?. They say "no papers no problem" and, "we get jobs, we get money, we get girls"
They have vision of eldorado. It is so sad.

It is so sad, and it’s disgraceful that the wonderful EU and France treat them so......then blame us for being nice to them.....absolute cretins...,,

If you’re talking about the number of refugees who claim asylum in France, its more then double that who claim in the Uk.

Germany, France, Spain, Greece and Italy all have double or treble the claims compared to the UK.

The idea that the UK is some soft touch nation, so huge numbers come here is simply false.

So, what’s getting you lot in a rage this week, is it the two facedness of the EU in demanding that refugees are taken back to Libya, an unsafe country, while selling them boats to come to the U.K. to get them out of France, a safe country. Or is it a ‘let’s have a go at the Tories’ week.......

Hi Pete. I'll ask again. Do you have any sources or proof where I can read about this? I've not seen any stories about the EU demanding refugees being taken back to Libya. I also haven't seen stories about the EU selling boats to refugees so they can come to the UK so if you can provide some reading for that too I'd really appreciate it
