If you'd have taken that survey 40 years ago I reckon it would have been even more heavily weighted the wrong way (although perhaps not 20 years ago).

You're probably right, but it still doesn't make nice reading.

The same attitude was prevalent about other minorities fleeing the mainland in 1930s, some of our press and it's readers particularly enjoyed picking on those people who were Jewish, something's never change!

So, what’s getting you lot in a rage this week, is it the two facedness of the EU in demanding that refugees are taken back to Libya, an unsafe country, while selling them boats to come to the U.K. to get them out of France, a safe country. Or is it a ‘let’s have a go at the Tories’ week.......
