I do, there’s no EU rules. There’s EU rules on limits to micro-organisms, toxins etc and rules on things like HACCP ensuring food quality is maintained. The responsibility will fall of the FBO in line with the relevant component authority (in our case the FSA) through scientific data proving that products don’t exceed the limits as prescribed in EU law.

I find the outrage about these boat crossings a bit of a red herring on those who want to make an issue of people wanting to come into the UK, the numbers attempting this method is tiny compared to the overstay visa route...

English language is pretty universal, that is a big draw. However, many countries including France take much more people than we do, so playing the victim of they all want to come here is very misleading!
