Yes but image the spectacle of Nige bombing along the Kent cliffs, rapid firing ball bearings at a slowly sinking dinghy while Rule Britannia blazed out from his Bluetooth speaker.

I'm surprised @Joey66 isn't at the turrets with his pellet gun tbh. We'll teach them to think this is a place they can be safe from bombs. What do they think we are?

You tell me the EU Rules that show the shelf of life products and you’ll answer your own question
Obviously, but you work in the sector and categorically stated that it has nothing to do with leaving the EU, so I thought that somehow you might have a Scooby.

I do, there’s no EU rules. There’s EU rules on limits to micro-organisms, toxins etc and rules on things like HACCP ensuring food quality is maintained. The responsibility will fall of the FBO in line with the relevant component authority (in our case the FSA) through scientific data proving that products don’t exceed the limits as prescribed in EU law.

£30m seems an awful lot when we could just get Nigel Farage an electric scooter and a slingshot to patrol the coast and pop those rubber dinghys.
It's also enough to give 1,000 refugees the average wage for a year. Much better to give it to the French so that the government can appear tough or something.

That's not getting control for our borders...

It amazes me how bad this country seems to be portrayed yet so many people want to come.
Has anybody tried to understand why they are leaving mainland Europe to come here? What is the incentive?

English language is pretty universal, that is a big draw. However, many countries including France take much more people than we do, so playing the victim of they all want to come here is very misleading!

...take many more...
English language is indeed pretty universal and you have a non native speakers grasp on uncountable nouns.
