Not at all Bruce. But the debate should be about what you say, negotiating a trade deal with the EU.

But the thread has lost it’s way, now it’s about orange juice and stuff. Over the last 5 or 6 pages there’s probably 2 or 3 informative comments. The rest is about Orange juice and Degsy and I responding in a childish manner to the obvious baiting from Remainers who want to keep all the old arguments going.

I care about the future relationship, but unfortunately the Remainers spent 4 years undermining any chance of negotiating a deal to the benefit of both the EU and U.K.. So we are where we are, the U.K. proposing a minimalist deal while the EU tries it’s best to hang on to UK subservience and control from Brussels. There has been no ‘good faith’ negotiations and quite honestly I’m more than happy now just to say ‘goodbye and thanks for the fish’.

The U.K. and Japan will end up doing a sensible deal as will the U.K. and USA/Australia/Canada/etc etc, without the deal being scuppered by Cyprus and its cheese.

The EU is a protectionist bloc seeking always to sell more stuff than it imports while creating the USE. I wish them well...

It's genuinely bonkers that anyone thinks this.

Thank you for your input and providing a solid example of why Leavers have abandoned this thread......

It's because they can't substantiate their claims, just like you don't. You have your 'let's make this the best deal' type rhetoric and you have the 'actually it was the Remainers undermining us' nonsense but no actual basis for it. Leavers got what they wanted and, now that the ridiculousness of it all and the cost of it all is coming out, are trying to do a 'oh but not leave like this'

Reckon Cornwall will get the £700m they have lost? Y'know, from our country?

I certainly hope so. But reliance upon handouts from the EU, from money that we gave them in the first place, was just another means of control. This way if you don’t get what has been promised, then just vote them out. We call it Democracy...

A look at the thread title should really answer the question about continuing debate in this thread. EU in or Out was the title and question. The U.K. voted to Leave, Remainers wouldn’t accept it, the U.K. has now left the EU, Remainers still don’t understand it. It’s over, done with, finished. We are now negotiating a trade deal with the EU, just as we are with the USA and Japan. The U.K.‘s involvement with the EU is over, we are a sovereign independent country once again. This thread should be closed tbh.....

Sorry pete but I can’t have this .

something you , and the majority, wanted happened . A number of people said a lot was wrong with what was being suggested and that far from being easy would be difficult and very possibly painful and messy . It’s come to pass that those suggesting it wasn’t easy might have had something and now people are saying “No it would have been easy but those people undermined it “

I’ve accepted the democratic decision , I’ve tried to be consistent from the get go on that as much as I can . I mean obviously I think it’s wrong but it’s happened but if things I worried might happen happen then I’m pretty confident I bear no responsibility for it .

I know you’re older than me but I thought it was The youngsters that couldn't accept when they had to take their share . If you own some of this pete then shoulder it . You are , I presume , confident that the good times are coming so celebrate that and don’t blame others for where we may well end up .

Why is getting money from the EU more controlling than from London?

The Cornish folk realising they will lose development money is just one example of the horse crap arguments that way too many folk fell for.

"I certainly hope so"
You don't know do you? Not good enough

What claims do you believe I have made ?.....
