Yes. I use them to indicate the omission of extra text when the context is implied, not as a replacement for a full stop.

I am still trying to understand why something I thought was a silly idea, based on stupid slogans that made no sense, and would be way more difficult to even do and told folk it would be, is my fault when I was actually right.

The warnings signs were always there but now the Leaver blame for the incoming mess is apportioned to those in elected positions who couldn’t make an ill advised future work.

I remember, probably years ago now, asking a Leaver to square the circle between EU borders and the NI/ROI border being sorted.
