Deadlock looms at Brexit talks next week
The chances Britain will leave the EU without a trade deal are risingwww.economist.com
Of course. The EU for ages said, you cannot cherry pick, you will no longer be part of the club, things cannot be the same as before. They then promptly said we want fishing to be the same as before, we want you to behave and trade on a level playing field as if you were still part of the club, and for good measure we want the ECJ to be the Supreme Court......I think most leavers are really not too bothered anymore about getting any kind of deal, the EU simply cannot understand that we have already left, the transition comes to an end in 7 months and that we will be an independent sovereign nation once again.....I always believed there would be a deal, but I was applying sensible pragmatic logic to the scenario, and didn’t count on the stupidity of the EU. Our negotiator is doing his job and not letting them steamroller us as happened under May and the contemptible ‘Oily Robbins’. We need both sides to win and not lose, but even a no deal is a win at this point......
