Of course. The EU for ages said, you cannot cherry pick, you will no longer be part of the club, things cannot be the same as before. They then promptly said we want fishing to be the same as before, we want you to behave and trade on a level playing field as if you were still part of the club, and for good measure we want the ECJ to be the Supreme Court......I think most leavers are really not too bothered anymore about getting any kind of deal, the EU simply cannot understand that we have already left, the transition comes to an end in 7 months and that we will be an independent sovereign nation once again.....I always believed there would be a deal, but I was applying sensible pragmatic logic to the scenario, and didn’t count on the stupidity of the EU. Our negotiator is doing his job and not letting them steamroller us as happened under May and the contemptible ‘Oily Robbins’. We need both sides to win and not lose, but even a no deal is a win at this point......

it’s not happening, preparedness meetings are taking place weekly with various border agencies now. The treasury have released substantial funds for planning assumptions

I've largely been focussed on Covid so not seen any of this. Should be interesting when we start to run into winter response, alongside Covid, as well as no deal Brexit.

An extension would cause absolute chaos. May did it when she started moving the dates. Businesses can cope with most eventualities providing there is clarity of date. I hope Boris sticks to his guns, gives no hint of a possible date move and stays out of the negotiations. Frost is proving to be at least the equal of Barnier and will get what is best for the U.K.....
