The EU sells about 3x more cars to the U.K. than we sell to them. If tariffs are applied then perhaps the UK may buy more of their own cars. The UK. can also take the excess duty, subsidise manufacturers and put money back into the exchequer. You’re on a loser here......
I wasn't making an argument, just providing information.

Although I'd point out that, in spite of your continued desire to present your own statement as fact, that your point contains the qualifier that 'perhaps' the UK 'may' buy more of their own cars.

Was a lot of people championing the Australian model for trade. Turns out they upset the Chinese and since have have duty lumped on barley, standards changed on beef, all because they wanted an investigation into Covid. That is what awaits us in the post brexit world.

You can pretty much do what you want with a majority as big as this Government has.

We won't need British farming when we 'Get Brexit Done!'

'Britain would be flooded by cheap produce from foreign countries where meats are allowed to be pumped full of drugs and animal welfare is much lower than EU standards. British farmers would not be able to compete in price and if they lowered standards too below EU standards, they would lose their main market in Europe and face a catastrophe either way'.
