So we are supposed to Implement what ever tax regimes they want on 88-90 of our GDP for the pleasure of allowing them to sell more to us than we do to them. When this doesn’t happen with any other free trade agreement, while still expecting the U.K. to defend the EU and open up our waters. No wonder Boris is probably just going to tell them to sod off....
I'm sure a previous version of @peteblue will be along to tell you that this is the beginning negotiations and they won't end where they start...
But...what the EU sells to the UK aren't in the places where we can or will have tariffs, and we are a smaller export share of their economy than they are of ours. It's the point I was making to you about Ireland and their trade deficit, or if we want a better example, let's use Andorra, who have a trade surplus' with the EU. Does the EU need them more than Andorra needs the EU? You'd think that ridiculous.

Well, the U.K. exports about about 150,000 tonnes of beef to the EU, and the EU exports about 275,000 tonnes of beef to the U.K., so I don’t really see a problem, do you ? or am I missing something.....
