I dont believe any Leavers will ever understand what many Remainers position on all this is. Simply because they seem to think we love the EU, and all it stands for.

That suits their uninformed, or poorly informed, narrative. "We won" "The UK will thrive" kinda stuff. They may well be right.

Me, (we), just didnt want to throw our kids and grandkids under a bus based on lies and bluster from some pretty dubious and unpleasant chanchers.

I hope your conscience will be clear in a few years time. If not, you have the humility to admit you were foolish servants of forces that manipulated you.

Oh, come on!

So, all 17.4 million are "uniformed / poorly informed". Quite the sweeping statement!!!

And you're suggesting that all 17.4 million voters don't care about their children, grandchildren, and greatgrand children....all leave voters are OAP's after all, who are, apparently close to death/already dead.....according to this forum anyway... To suggest that only remain voters care about what happens to their offspring is quite frankly, nonsense.

Every / the vast majority of parents / grandparents, wants nothing more than what they think is best for the future of their children and grandchildren!

No matter what happens, my conscience will be clear. And unlike many on here, I'm not hoping for a complete and utter disaster, just so I can say "I told you so"....

As for calling for an IQ test, that wasn't serious (I'd hoped that was apparent, apologies). It was just a throwaway remark in response to some bizarre posts from a bizarre poster.

Fair enough, but if you go back and re-read your last few replies to Joey, asking for an IQ test seemed consistent with what you'd said previously.

I don't agree with Joey's politics, but I don't see the need to call him such things as a "fool".

People talking down to others in an elitist way is one of many reasons why people voted to leave the EU ( and / or vote Tory for that matter. )

I think it’s time that people just backed off from having a go @Joey66. Whether anyone supports it or not, on Friday at 11.00pm we leave the EU. It’s done, we are out. There will be a lot of crap thrown about by all sides, Remainers, Leavers, UK, EU and ROI, but one way or the other by the end of this year either a deal will be done or no deal will be done. Either way we all have to live with it. Some Remainers on here have openly wished for a sensible deal to be done, while one or two will no doubt wish the it turns into batshit just to prove a point. We are where we are guys, get used to it.......

No one is deliberately having a pop at Joey, making out he’s somehow being picked on is disingenuous, as you know fine well all that happens is that he gets his nonsensical tripe pulled apart and then posts completely irrelevant, soundbite laden replies. Rinse and repeat.

As for having to live with whatever Brexit brings, speak for yourself.

I don’t pretend to be compassionate. I try to be compassionate, Jesuit education you see. I don’t regard anyone as worthless, I try to see what people are in their own right. You may not like me, you may not understand my politics or beliefs, and you certainly do not understand my regard for others, but do not ever suppose that you understand what I do for others......
And what exactly is is that you do for "others"? Jesuit education? do you still believe? Must be the guilt complex. Ha Ha !

Haha fair enough, it's the name of a horse in an old On The Hour horse-racing sketch, I just picked it almost at random when I signed up.

On here, there are some seriously intelligent people as measured by I.Q. There are also some seriously clever people due to education or experience. There are also some people who have a natural insight into what is right or wrong and there are those who some would regard as having Street smarts. All however contribute and show differing views from a different perspective that adds to the cumulative view. So before you attempt to label anyone in here, either bizarre or not, you might wish to spend a bit of time reading and trying to understand the poster...just a suggestion mind.......

I didn’t know they did.....have they ?
@Joey66 can you give Pete the facts please. He could do with some of your wisdom.

But just so you know I'm getting on board with Brexit. The arguments are starting to make sense now:

I'm glad we're out of the EU because they banned salt, put it on your chips and your garden and see if it helps...17.4m can't be wrong, unlike these remoaners...who will make the same mistake with Long Failey..like they did with Corbin the dangerous Marxist...from Tom Bowers book which is from when he knew him as a young trade union anti Jew who can't sue because it's true...fishing...like their forefathers did before them...with hook and line and olden traditions...democrocy! INDEPENDENCE. You lost get over it.

How am I doing lads?

For the record, I hope it isn't as bad as the predictions and forecasts because then it will be detrimental to the poorest and most vulnerable in society and ultimately everyone will be worse as a result.

However, if it is, as all the predictions say it will be, bad for the country, I will sure as hell be letting everyone that said otherwise know about it.

Oh really? I thought it was for sound economic reasons. People like Joe are not the problem as you say...the tory apologists are..in my humble opinion...Pretend compassion..like their vacuous leader Cummings. (PS...I like Pali Gap.. my fave JMH track ;);))
