If we get an extension till 31 January but they still turn down a December election, then what is their excuse?

They are simply just scared of losing. Career politicians in not voting for Christmas shocker....
Why won’t johnson just allow an extension to read through his deal ? What is in it that he feels the need to attach caveats to allowing them to read it ... he says it’s a brilliant deal.. if that’s the case let the house scrutinise it.

I live in Edinburgh, this is how I see it. I think it was Bruce who mentioned about living in a more open and tolerant world. This is the feeling I get in Scotland, nothing to do with hating anyone else
That would sum how I see it too from a Liverpool perspective. @Cool_Blue the above probably answers your post better than I could, people who want to remain in the EU simply don't see it as a loss of independence, but see a right wing led brexit as very restricting

Nutshell.

I am sure there are some EU loons with flags and bed sheets as EU flags, but that is what the Leavers dont get. We aint that pro EU. We are just not sure, exactly, what leaving actually achieves, if anything. Lob in the ERG, Farage EDF element who think its a great idea, and those doubts are kinda amplified.

It would do you the power of good to stop equating the contribution a country makes or takes from others in sommet more rounded than ££££.

The list of Scottish, Wales, and NI contributions to the standing, culture, innovation, arts, engineering, banking, insurance, sport etc etc that makes up the current UK are incredible. World changing, and world class.

But no. Scots get £25 more per year per capita than some bloke in Lincoln trumps all that.

Oh. Forgot music.
Oh and Scotland so keen to leave the EU trade with the rest of the UK 66 percent on exports to us- they trade very little with the EU. They contribute less to the EU than the UK - yet can afford to offer 25 EU countries free university degrees except for NI Wales , and the UK .......

Absolutely, the quality of the head honchos of the leave campaign has to be a factor, and when you look further afield for a coherent argument outside of the political sphere that quality only got worse

First. What?

And second. Scotland dont export anything to the UK. Thats like saying Astra cars in Ellesmere Port are exported to Bristol.

My daughter lives and works in Edinburgh it thrives on tourism and the cost of living is higher than the UK as any capital city would be........

They're in the UK... They contribute as the UK.

You know if you let every consituency in parliament keep all the tax it generated, Argyll and Bute would be second only to City of London and Westminster?

Really that's why businesses were going to move south to the UK if independence was gained Inthe last referendum, if you know your history they were once an independent country, and the begged to rejoin the UK .....
They have had their were me vote in a lifetime.......
For me I don't think, they could survive outside the UK ....
If they ever chose to do so good on them if they get a vote ever again ....
Let's see how the EU would treat them.......
