I don't work in Edinburgh, I work all over Scotland and my point still stands. The feeling I get in Scotland is in the whole, it wants to be a progressive country. Yes, Edinburgh has a thriving tourist industry, maybe with this exposure, the local people don't feel threatened by people from other countries, in fact embrace it. Makes you think eh

Personally I think it’s the smart move... Johnson is boxed in ... not that I claim to be an expert in any of this

But he's the leader of the opposition, and he has claimed repeatedly that he'd go for an election if no deal was off the table.

So he's failing to try and seek power and completely lying about it at the same time!

As we stand right now, sure, he could reasonably reject a GE as no extension has been accepted yet. But it's expected tomorrow - once the EU gives us an extension, as long as it is until 31 January I can't see how Corbyn can run from an election and not be ridiculed for it.

He can legitimately claim to be acting in the national interest at the moment, because avoiding no deal is in the national interest.

Once that threat has gone, he has no excuse whatever.

Hmm, I think this is probably right.

No deal at any stage before Dec 2022 is almost certainly over. There's no true appetite for it.

So now's the time to poop or get off the pot for everyone.
