See, now these are real issues.

I thought that the U.K. and France were sorting out the residential status, excuse me if I’m wrong.

I also thought that medical care would be in the same package.

The pound unfortunately is the pound and will vary according to market forces, which you knew when you moved to France. The pound however can just as easily go up as well as down depending on how well we in the U.K. perform after Brexit. Though I do understand your concerns.

There are far more EU citizens in the U.K. than U.K. in the EU, I’m sure sensible arrangements will be worked out, why wouldn’t they ?......
Some of these things were included in the May agreement. Not in the Johnson version.
Residential status should not be a problem. Continued reciprocal health care agreements are a must for all the UK people out here living on pensions. Top up insurance costs over 100E a month. Full private health insurance would cost more than people's pensions.

what evidence have you got for this though? There is no evidence for Britain, as the small country it is, able to go it alone

How many countries are in the world ?. How many countries have a bigger population, how many countries have a bigger land mass, how many countries have more natural resources, but how many countries have a bigger economy ?.....

And these are the real issues, and with just 1.5million brits living abroad these can be dealt with by the U.K....

I will ask again. Would you put your house and everything you own into the hands of labour or the Tories to manage for you. Please state your reasons why.....
I have already indicated in my reply above which I can only assume you didn't read properly, that I am more than happy to live under a Labour administration....still await your responses on your "economic chaos" theory....don't deflect and I might have more respect.

I think I’ve said right from the beginning that there will be a short term hit. But then we will grow. Now you may believe different, but I believe in the ability of our country (not politicians) to take advantage of our new position and grow.....
That's exactly what will happen and the EU are bricking it, because they know it will happen.

There’s so little to argue with you though. You listen to no one and you have no points. @JEBUS_LIVES has literally just mentioned something he gave proof of your misunderstanding and you didn’t engage.
I suspect the answer to this will be 'vast personal experience' and some other business aphorism presented as if it's groundbreaking insight.

Sorry lads but when you engage without the nonsense I may respond, until then :bye: ....

lol lol lol

Absolutely no chance.

Varadkar is merely doing what he is obliged to do per the GFA. The idea that he is gleefully pursuing a policy of imminent reunification is crazy. The party he leads is the most tolerant of unionism party in the State.

Also there wouldn't be any EU officials checking goods at the point of entry, that would be done by UK officials as announced last week.

The EU has a right under this deal to have officials at the entry points to ensure the checks are correct and that customs duties are being imposed (which is going to in effect mean that there are probably going to be a lot of them given the volume of checks required), and Varadkar is not merely doing what he is obliged to do per the GFA - he floated out of the Wirral as if on a cloud.

So is he a happy man ?, is Boris a happy man ?, what exactly is the problem.....

But they won't. The UK authorities are mean and spiteful when it comes to their people who have had the temerity to leave their shores.
They despise us and will throw us under the bus.
And the brexiteers will clap and cheer and say it's our own fault.
