He left about 6 hours ago because people were calling him out on his claim that his life is directly impacted by EU regulations and citing VAT as his example.

His resurfacing again and changing the subject is just his way of avoiding any actual detail.

ha ha, I went back to have a look at that. Spectacular.

Pete - NI businesses will have to complete customs forms to send goods to the UK and will have to pay customs duties to the EU on anything sent from here to there (rebates being paid by the UK!). They'll have to follow EU VAT rules, have EU officials at the points of entry into the country checking everything and basically will be in the EU customs union far more than they are in the UK one.

The direction of where NI is headed in this deal is obvious; that is why Varadkar has seized it with both hands (and anyone elses hands he can find). He probably thinks that if the deal is signed, Ireland will be reunified whilst he is in office.
lol lol lol

Absolutely no chance.

Varadkar is merely doing what he is obliged to do per the GFA. The idea that he is gleefully pursuing a policy of imminent reunification is crazy. The party he leads is the most tolerant of unionism party in the State.

Also there wouldn't be any EU officials checking goods at the point of entry, that would be done by UK officials as announced last week.

Oh have we all got our @peteblue bingo cards? If you’ve got ‘I run a Pub’, ‘I was super duper important’, ‘I know all people in all countries’ or general personal abuse, you’ll be getting close to a full house.

Both. I appreciate you have no valid arguments. I appreciate you think that comedic attacks will win you ‘likes’, but do not for one moment believe that you are either being clever or making a sensible point. Others are doing that on your behalf, as you can see if you actually read......

I vote Tory because the alternative is Corbyn and economic chaos. Let’s be honest here, would you put your house and all you own in the hands of the Tories or Labour. Forget everything else, what would you do......

Pete - a no deal Brexit is the definition of economic chaos. Do you disagree? The Tories are pushing for it and refusing to admit how bad it will be.

Corbyn may absolutely be a crackpot. But that's speculation rather than cold hard fact. I dont support re-nationalisation etc but that's nowhere near as bad as the loony right.

There’s so little to argue with you though. You listen to no one and you have no points. @JEBUS_LIVES has literally just mentioned something he gave proof of your misunderstanding and you didn’t engage.

What does that even mean? Why would having Labour in government mean economic chaos? We have that already after years of Tory and red tory misrule. I would be more than happy with a labour administration. Please state your reasons for thinking Labour = economic chaos.

Pete the pound will weaken because the economy will weaken. It's as simple as that. Theres no ifs or maybes. No bank or major finance house is suggesting anything other than a decidedly negative medium term after a hellish bad short term.

I think I’ve said right from the beginning that there will be a short term hit. But then we will grow. Now you may believe different, but I believe in the ability of our country (not politicians) to take advantage of our new position and grow.....

Sorry Pete. I know you're a big deal around here. Won't happen again.

what evidence have you got for this though? There is no evidence for Britain, as the small country it is, able to go it alone

Will be interesting to see the economic impact assessments for this deal to know what to expect.

I will ask again. Would you put your house and everything you own into the hands of labour or the Tories to manage for you. Please state your reasons why.....
