I controlled major projects all around the world. I oversaw the transfer of large manufacturing outfits (50,000+) to other companies, working within the laws of a number of differing countries. I controlled the building of programmes in the multi billions, contracts in the multi billions, and the rationalisation of companies in countries from the USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, China Japan and beyond. I worked with governments as diverse as India, Russia and Brazil as well as those mentioned above. I have seen the world my friend, I have contacts all over the world, and am still invited to gatherings that only those who belong will be invited to. However I am now retired and am enjoying my current life. I’m enjoying what I now am, retired......
You fall for it every time don't you.
Never miss a chance for blowing your own trumpet.

If you cannot either accept or believe that some people actually have the experience they have then fine, don’t. But please do not try to denigrate it as you will be proven wrong.....and the you will be the fool......
Your experience has led to you being a bigot, you are quite rightly called out on this. Having An experience counts for nothing if you use it to make ill informed and idiotic comments. Your hard nosed attitude in the face of so much to the contrary shows you up.

Fair enough, not sure what you mean by"still invited to gatherings that only "those who belong" would be invited to" . I have spent 47 years of my life supporting and helping folk who are less fortunate than me and I am also retired. You, for all your claims of "internationalism" (whatever you think that means) still support a party which is destroying the country and only look after their moneyed big business friends.....enjoy your little bubble.

Pete - NI businesses will have to complete customs forms to send goods to the UK and will have to pay customs duties to the EU on anything sent from here to there (rebates being paid by the UK!). They'll have to follow EU VAT rules, have EU officials at the points of entry into the country checking everything and basically will be in the EU customs union far more than they are in the UK one.

The direction of where NI is headed in this deal is obvious; that is why Varadkar has seized it with both hands (and anyone elses hands he can find). He probably thinks that if the deal is signed, Ireland will be reunified whilst he is in office.

And they also have the option to opt out, let’s not forget this. The decision has moved from the EU to NI......
