One thing I have noticed recently is that the majority of (I think) Eastern Europeans delivering for Amazon and the like either don't understand English enough or just can't be bothered to carry out delivery instructions. Maybe it's me, but when I did home deliveries I always delivered where the customer asked, rather than chuck it over the garden fence or (as in where I now live) leave it with the house manager regardless of the fact that I was in, and that it was me who answered the buzzer. I know that might be human nature but, after I answer the buzzer and ask who the delivery is for, then say "OK, first floor." only for the driver to shout "Just open ze door!" and then dump it on the house manager's desk, I take exception to it. And I bloody-well told him so as well because I shot downstairs knowing it's what he'd do!

Still, at least he's got a job I suppose.

So if remainers vote against the deal they are by default voting for no-deal?

Not quite, it needs Boris to write to the EU for an extension, but it’s looking like the EU and Boris have stitched up a no extension agreement, so at the point that the EU say no extension then you are correct.....

I believe if it doesn't pass through the HoC then Boris will have to get an extension. Juncker was bluffing with this is the only deal to be had.

Yet all the way through this, Remainers have been saying that the EU will not open the WA, which they did, nor allow any changes, which they have. So I’ll take your view of bluffing with a proverbial pinch of salt......

I’m pretty sure that I’ve called this correctly all the way through, but hey if it makes you feel better...
No you haven’t Pete. You consistently said that the EU would cast Ireland aside and that Varadkar was a pawn in a bigger game. Are you going to deny that?

And no it doesn’t make me feel better, I voted to Remain but at least there is recognition that NI is as a unique case.

Ireland has always been an EU pawn in the game. I’ve always said so. It’s been played to the end and we now are where we are. The card has been played, Boris has thrown it back and a compromise has been agreed. It’s a great deal for NI and allows the deal to move forward. I thought you would be happy...

Boris has negotiated a deal that was on the table in 2018 and just given it more colour with information. Hardly call it renegotiating. Tusk pretty much said they aren't going to reject an extension out of hand, but one would think that this extension would need to be for a referendum/election.
