And also not being aware, even 3 years later, that an awful lot of the reasons parroted as being reasons to leave, ergo the fault of the EU, are, and have long been, the fault of our own Government(s).
Absolutely everything that was pushed as a reason to leave has been systematically revealed as nonesense.

The one thing that still held any legitimacy was the Sovereignty and legal primacy argument (in spite of the lack of understanding about the difference between autonomy and Sovereignty), but even that has now been shown to be nonesense due to the actions to Prorogue Parliament and subsequent attacks on the judiciary.

There's nowhere to go with it now. It's become about ensuring that everyone goes down with the ship rather than just admitting that you should've seen the iceberg in the first place.

I said it 3 years ago, and I have repeated it many times since. I voted Remain not out of any affection for the EU, but because I did not have a clue what voting to leave actually meant and/or entailed.

I felt slightly foolish at the time, cos it seemed a bit of a cop out I guess, but it just goes to show, sometimes the gut feeling is actually correct.

It's an area I feel relatively well versed in, I've studied EU Law, Constitutional Law, worked across the EU in projects and worked on EU funded projects, worked in Immigration. Little of what was being discussed was accurate or well informed.

But, despite that, I based my decision in part on who was giving me the information, what was being said during the referendum and what was being promised.

If people are telling you something is going to be fantastic while dismissing any evidence/information to the contrary then they're usually lying.

you are still assuming you are correct, why ?.....

We voted for it, therefore we want it, despite not being able to explain what the tangible benefits are.

Or even intangible benefits

The “taking back control of our laws and our sovereignty” plank has been kicked out from under them.

The only danger to our parliamentary sovereignty is posed by Johnson and Cummings......and it was our own courts which exerted their power to stop them silencing our own parliament.

Nowt to do with the EU.

All’s they can do now is lie to themselves......or say that Brexit is the only way to stop riots on the streets or death threats against those who disagee with Brexit.

Oh.....and duty free booze cruises will be back :pint2:

Even the duty free thing is a con, as we can currently drive over a fill a van full of ale if it’s for personal consumption.
