For those who still think this is about “taking back control*”, whatever that means, please rest assured that it’s actually about billionaires taking more of your rights away.

Well in, you’ve been played and played well.

*control which you never lost and always had

They’d be the very same people who funded his recent campaign to become PM.

Including the odious Crispin Odey, who was openly talking during the Summer about the plan to prorogue and to try and lure the opposition into an election for October, that the PM would then alter to Nov 5th without the ability to be challenged.

The same Crispin Odey who allowed Rees Mogg to open his first hedge fund under the wing of Odey Asset Management.

The same Crispin Odey who made £220m on the night of the referendum aided and abetted by a certain Mr Farage and his faux conceding of defeat at 10.01 pm.

The same Crispin Odey who has circa £3BN riding on short positions....

But yeah, Brexit is all about sticking it to the elites and the ‘people vs Parliament’.

Oh how they must be pissing themselves at the gullibility that has allowed them to deliver this truly rotten con.

If you’re still buying it now, then you’re either simply refusing to listen or you’re part of it.

What worries me is that he is still openly point blank refusing to ask for an extension. By all accounts he, as PM has to personally request the extension.

May sound absurd but what if he just refuses to do it? Yes he will be in all kinds of trouble but nothing suprises me with him.

So looks like he may do just that, refuse to seek an extension and by the time the battle is fought, we will have crashed out

Ive posted numerous times in this thread that he is backed by dark money and people who stand to make billions. Aaron Banks, Crispin Odey, etc.

Everyone who thinks Boris is a man of the people who stands up for them are the biggest mugs going

Remain voter me. But we need to rise against fascism now before it gets too late.

Mate nobody is interested in all that because you know good old Boris shouts Britain first.

I know mate, the ‘you’ was generic :)

The sewer lid was lifted in June 2016 and now we’ve got the most populist PM in this country’s history pandering to the far right, and they’re loving it. Putting that lid back on is going to be a real challenge now. I fear our country has been fundamentally damaged by this debacle and it’ll take a generation to truly recover.

We must rebuild from us onward.

They have used fear to get their way.

Plus they want out to stop the EU tax avoidance laws to take affect.

The remainers absolutely embarrassed themselves today, they are scared to death Boris has found a loophole and are attacking him anyway they can now, attacking him for saying “surrender bill”, bringing Jo Cox’s death into it, disgraceful.
A lot of fuss about nothing is what it was, Johnson walked into a bear pit last night especially from the Labour benches and said Humbug...
What did he do that was so wrong?, it is a surrender bill, it is absurd to try blame death threats on the language he uses like “surrender” and “Humbug”.

MP’s have been getting death threats no matter what party from the dawn of parliament, it’s just a lot easier for keyboard warriors to send them via Twitter these days.

There are a hell of a lot of angry people out there because of how the remainers are trying to reverse the referendum, although not condoning it, you can see how people get angry on the internet and take it too far, look how it happens in this thread when anyone who supports Brexit gives an opinion.

The most abuse, screaming and shouting, came from the Labour benches last night that is for sure.
@Bungle can we add another option to the Dignitas poll?

It’s merely a spooky coincidence that no one really gave a monkey’s about the EU before 2015, barring a handful of swivel eyed loons, like Cash on the Tory back benches. Then all of a sudden it became the most important issue of our time......just at the point the EU announced its plans to clamp down on offshore tax havens and create transparency of offshore company ownership.

As with everything Tory related........FOLLOW THE MONEY.

War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.

Trade deals FFS. lol they have never been a hot political topic with the general public in the last 20/30 years. It’s just people trying to excuse their xenophobic tendencies.
Yep and anytime they mention it they cannot come with a good example of a potential trade deal that the EU has ruined or would ruin. The US reference always make me laugh though.

I've just checked the Benn Act, and this...

... with this...

... already snookers Johnson I think.

To summarise, he has to send the request by 19 October. He then cannot withdraw or modify that request unless he has a deal. And even then, he couldn't send the withdrawal after 30 October, so if he put a, I dunno, 'fake' deal to the House somehow, parliament could then take control of proceedings and stump him that way.

It's watertight, it really is - he's bluffing, hence why no legal expert has found any loophole whatsoever in this.
If Johnson asks for and gets an offer of an extension from the EU does this have to be accepted under the Benn act or go back to parliament for approval or could Johnson just leave it for a day or so and then write back to say he's not interested?
