not sure Paul McCartney really comes into contact with a lot of people from northern working class on a daily basis
or has the slightest clue about the reality of there daily lives, so wouldn't really use him as a .parameter off the average leave voter or there views.
nearest he has more than likely come to that is getting a bus along Park road decades ago and keeping his head down encase some nasty fella from the Dingle pulled his hair or something.
Equally then why do people give credence to the likes of JRM as I bet you he has never got the number 56?

He caught the zeitgeist hugely successfully before and I’d say he remains a voice to be heard.

Not quite what happened Peter,is it?

The PM is such a cad he couldn’t be trusted not to move the goalposts innit.

After October 31st it a whole new ball game.

Come November, bring it on :)

Do you honestly believe that. He almost certainly has his excuses lined up as to why there shouldn’t be one....

Who in there right mind takes any notice of JRM he is about as relevent to modern life as a beefeater and much less use.
File with johnson playing a part to hide the reality.
Dont know a soul that can relate to those two, well maybe others of there ilk.
I dont believe in worshiping false idols of any desciption.

It's probably Friday or something, but it's confused me. Maybe it'll make sense if it ever plays out.
Set aside the practicalities and consider the logic.

If labour negotiate a new deal and it's rejected by the Commons, then the Commons is frustrating the process.

If Labour bring a new deal which allows the UK to leave, it honours the referendum and they honour their manifesto pledge and the choice doesn't become a labour choice not to leave if the deal is rejected or not deemed the best course of action by the public.

By individually backing remain, as most MPs no doubt will, Labour dint alienate the remain voters.

And Corbyn stays neutral the entire time to let someone else, ie the public, parliament or another determine the next steps.

But I think most Labour spokespeople are saying the same thing, just in different ways.

It is because they will not state the blindingly obvious fact that no negotiated deal to leave can possibly be an improvement on staying in that this inconsistency keeps manifesting itself and leaves the party open to ridicule.

I also think that the biggest inconsistency with the Labour position is that the leader actually wants to leave but the vast majority of party activists and members want to Remain.

If Corbyn and the PLP had been singing from the same Remain hymn sheet from the getgo Labour’s position would be much stronger in the opinion polls.
Which is why, if Corbyn stays neutral and allows MPs freedom to campaign how they wish, he maintains his position and principles as do those that are campaigning for remain.

I'd now that while I'm unpicking the position, I'm not endorsing it and I'm sceptical that everyone in the LP will understand it sufficiently to sell it as a strategy.

Ah, so logical in the sense that any mud doesn't stick to him rather than logical in the sense that the country will extricate from the pickle?

so a quick update: had a couple of teleconferences this week. Governments stance is a deal but the next stage of D1ND planning is being ramped up regardless.

And for anyone wondering why the EU hasn’t just kicked us out and said we’re fed up with this...well they can’t because they’re in an almost worse state than us at the border. A document I was passed listed their readiness plans, the majority of their seaports are not, and will not, be ready for 31 October despite what’s been reported. The increase level of goods flowing through their ports could not be checked as 3rd Country

For us, government will look to end all easements in Dec 2020; this means that from that date all EU goods will be classified as 3rd Country/ROW. Until that date they’ll flow through as is now.

It’s like a crap game of poker, both sides are trying to bluff each other with a pair

They’re both bluffing with a pair but one players got five times as many chips. The other is playing to stay in the game, so to speak
