I'm not being serious you clown!

I do think it's worth highlighting the fact that one segment of the population voted massively Leave - to weaken the economy and lessen freeedoms - at the material expense ot another segment of the population (14 to 18 year olds) that didnt get a vote but now have their whole lives impacted. That cannot be right.

It's a moot point whether those 65+ are still active economically and/or should retire from political life.

You’re thinking about Corbyn, right ?........

I'm afraid I don't believe a word Johnson and this government say. He lies pretty much every day. I'm sorry if the anti-migrant rhetoric of the Tory government over the last decade coupled with the current administration has left us feeling decidedly uneasy about our future, but that's how we feel. I hope you're never placed in a similar situation. Suffice to say, it's not something we're doing in order to score Internet points.

We've had a situation whereby those who try and tell the truth have had doubt poured upon them under the guise of 'project fear', so I'm afraid when you have a government who deliberately try and lie and mislead then you reap what you sow in terms of the faith people have in their word, not least when they've pledged numerous times in the past fortnight to overrule the law if it meant they could leave with no deal.
There's also this:

I think for certain nobody can predict with any degree of accuracy economic forecasts at this point, we can't say we'll be poorer if we remain or leave right now.

I can give you the most important benefit, freedom. Day to day being inside the EU is like being inside a mental prison where there are no visible bars, but we're being held back, when we leave the EU the sky will be more blue, the trees more green my life will be so much happier.

We should be proud of this country, throughout history we've seen the men and women, who have been loyal and sacrificed everything for this land so we might be free.

Having Brexit is the most important thing in my life, I honestly don't care if we're poorer or richer, we need to be free. Even if it resulted in me becoming sick and there being no medicine, even if it resulted in me living in the street.

It is a sacrifice we have to make, like the men in the Somme.

Think about our proud history and believe in this country.
Go on @peteblue, pick the bones out of that. Your second 'report' in ten years? If not, why not?

There's also this:
Also this - scanning important documents on a borrowed phone isn’t the most secure or easiest thing to do,
Brexit is a source of continuing tension and conflict that extends beyond Britain's borders. Problems now have arisen from a government app designed to help European Union nationals residing in Britain apply to stay in the country. But the app is only available for Android and not iPhone, The Financial Times reported Monday.

Apart from you know who and you know why, I don’t use the report button. If someone finds it offensive I’m sure they will let Bruce know.......

Without speaking on behalf of the other mods, I'd rather people were able to be at least a little bit grown up when using this bit of the forum. We're not here to mediate squabbles, and you wouldn't expect other people to do so were you having this discussion in a physical ale house rather than a virtual one.

If your views appear to be offending people, then that's perhaps a sign that you need to rein them back in, and likewise, if you're reading views that are offending you, then the ignore feature is just what you need.

I'm glad you're not serious mate.

I know many retirees voted to leave, however in my experience many were not that well educated, suffering from being on the wrong side of the grammar/secondary-modern devisive education system of the past. Many are also addicted to the tabloids and the constant daily brainwashing thereof. Seeing the world through the eyes of the Scun and the Heil.

I am an ardent remainer, what else? I decided to live in rural France after my retirement. My future welfare depends on the outcome of this fiasco; hence I need to have the right to vote in any election/referendum leading to any outcome.
