His goal is to be leader of a movement that carries the whole of the centre-right ground before it. In order to do that any shooting of the Brexit fox (settling the issue) has to be avoided. Brexit has to be kept in play for Farage. He knows Johnson cant really go for a "clean break" no deal Brexit. And he knows he has to keep his disatance from the Tories and make himself distinct from them. He cant afford to subsume himself in Tory policy. There's literally no political necessity for him at that point.

IMO, It suits Farage just fine to position himself as facilitator and saviour of the Brexit dream, while all the time planning beyond the election to pick up some serious political power. He sees the destruction of the traditional parties in Europe in places like France and Italy and I'd guess he sees himself as potentially somone like Salvini and his Lega Party. That will be his objective, certainly not to solve Johnson and the Tory's problems.
That's total bollox in my opinion mate.

Love him or hate him, and I personally think he's a bit of a bellend, his only goal has ever been to get the UK out of the EU. He took a back seat after the referendum because he thought he'd done his job, and the vacuum he left in UKIP allowed right wing extremists to infiltrate that party and he subsequently distanced himself from it.

He only formed the BP when it became clear that Brexit wasn't being actioned and he had to act before the EU elections.

If the UK ever get out of the EU, he is effectively making himself redundant from his current job.

I don't know where you come up with this rubbish.

I don’t know about that.....Brexit fanatic David Davies was the man in charge of negotiations.

So the people doing the negotiations, be they leavers or remainers, were given an impossible task to begin with.
I refer you to my previous post which you were so impressed with and I thought we were still talking about. David Davies had absolutely nothing to do with the May trying to make Brexit a Govt decision, or the decision to bring another GE.

I was indeed referring to your previous, impressive post.

Regarding David Davies,I though he was the “Brexit Secretary” and was in charge of the negotiations.

Am I wrong in thinking that?

I am sure I have seen pictures of him sat across the table with Mr. Barnier.

Fair do's. That's what happens when you make assumptions. Sorry.
.
I'm disappointed in your answer but only because I've never understood SNPs stance on this and thought you may be able to shed some light on it. We don't get many Scottish posters on here.
No worries Barnfred. Its been eerily quiet up here for a while, I think she is getting the lay of the land. Speaking to nationalists they seem to think that a no deal catastrophe could play into her hands but as it stands the YES camp are slightly ahead in the polls. Shes not daft, shes got one more big opportunity and wont blow it. (Sorry I cant offer much more than that at the mo, its still all brexit here, the Scottish Unionists are a very fervent bunch.)

Why should there be censorship? I don’t really know who he is, but clearly you don’t agree with him, and you wish to stifle debate. Bet you’re a remainer.

So no one here ever has to see his wet flannel of a face :p

I don't literally think you should be banned btw, its just my way of emphasising how much of a gargantuan sized bellend he is. He's as insufferable as internet personalities get and is the absolute textbook definition of a grifter.

Facebook banned him stating "We've always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology,"

I'm dubious that a man who seems to be well aquainted with AfD politics, reads Enoch Powell and promotes Nigel Farage's radio show wouldn't know who Paul Joseph Watson is.
