As I said to Bruce I can only speak for myself, although I have found that most other leave voters I have discussed it with have been intelligent, well educated, and dare I say, experienced in life's trials. Old gits like me in other words.

I gave it a lot of thought before the vote and made my own list of pros and cons and actually went to the ballot box still undecided. It was that close a decision for me.

As I said, nothing I have learned since has led me to the opinion that I made the wrong decision. But I do regret the way things have turned out.

Have you met @Joey66?

....surprised more isn’t being made of the evidence uncovered in today’s hearing in Scotland which clearly shows Johnson planning to pirogue Parliament just after he came into office.

The QC very damming of the apparent ‘lies’.

QC's and judiciary are politically motivated, there are QC's who claim we have already left the EU in March, legally.

What would you see happening in the event of another hung parliament, Barney?

Two of the last three have ended up that way and I think it is going to be a regular occurrence going forward..
No idea mate. I guess parties are just going to have to learn to get along with each other towards a common goal. Something they are clearly incapable of at the moment. Might as well look at PR as the 2 party system seems broken at the moment.

Probably because the news cycle has a half hour duration these days, Eggs...then sommat else takes the lead lol

Seriously though, I imagine it is subject to subjudice......they can report what was said in court but no one is allowed to comment on it until the case is over.

Its probably because no one is remotely surprised!

...which is in itself very sad.

The excuse that pirogue was because of the Queens Speech is at best misleading the public, and at worst an outright lie. The decision to expel Tory MPs who vote against his Government is at best hypocritical (given how he and his cronies voted against the May deal), or at worst dictatorial.

Proper mess eh?

At the risk of being attacked (again), I will state this to you. The £350 million per week (gross) was an equivalent figure of the cost of a hospital. Neither campaign in the Referendum had any executive authority to allocate ANY finances anywhere. So your contention above is wrong.

Got it?

The fact that the gross figure was used (before rebate) is the lie.

The line was “Let’s give our NHS the 350 million the EU takes every week”. Unless they also added “and then make them give us £100 million back the following week” it makes the claim a lie.

The UK Statistics Authority criticised Johnson for his misuse of official statistics. Even Farage said it was a mistake to use!

Seems an odd thing to get so aggressive about.

Are you Dominic Cummings?

....except that what is said in a Parliament stays in Parliament (hence the saying ‘come outside and say that’). Saying that, you could be right and MPs have decided not to mention it.

Watch this space, Mr. Joyce.

I personally think a second referendum would end up being even more damaging to the unity of this country.

We'd see hatred, lies, allegations of overspending, racism. Out of the ashes we'd likely see bitterness and see a radical leader emerge in a winner takes all situation.

Let's say hypothetically leave wins 51%, do you believe that would solve anything? It would ramp up the tension and division even more. Last thing we need.

Same here. Just didnt think the EU was that bad that voting for sommet I didnt know would happen swung it.
To be honest I didn't think there was a chance in hell that leave would actually win. I greeted the results with more surprise/shock than celebration. The missus was pleased, but that's all it was. We didn't exactly crack open a bottle of bubbly.

Our mood soon changed. We were travelling down to Cornwall on holiday that day and went round to my sisters to drop our house keys off. When she found out we had both voted leave, she took off on us calling us both a word I'd probably get a ban for using.. Our relationship changed there and then.
