It's BS. They're not and never have been LP supporters. Their game is to use every social media platform to create a critical mass of opinion for their own party (whichever that may be).

They're pathetically easy to detect.
I tend to agree, I've posed several questions here and elsewhere to these supposed stalwart Labour members that are no more, on the various elections the Labour party conducts regularly, without exception it's met with silence.

It's not so black and white. Corbyn and McDonnell do scare some middle ground voters and to pretend otherwise is fantasy. The latter's talk of defeating capitalism is insane in my book.

I have been a Labour party member since uni in the mid 90s. In my work I come up against lots of Momentum Councillors and honestly find a good number almost impossible to deal with.

The positive from the anti Corbyn effect is that a large proportion of those middle ground voters are in safe Tory shire seats that Labour will struggle in anyway.

The number of "LP members" deserting Labour too...it's a worry.... :coffee:

Last time all that was put to the test IN REALITY - and not in some BS weaponised poll - the electorate weren't arsed about media scare stories about the LP leadership.

The media are disgraceful (especially the BBC) in peddling this line about 'the danger' of a Corbyn Government...what about the present danger of this 'kin Tory clown right now, btw?

Corbyn is Old Labour. Old Labour policies, Old Labour rhetoric. It's these Tory loonies everyone has to be scared of...and they WILL be.

it all an act Bruce , THe tories

They are not on there own there mate, don't think we have gone all Trump it just suits Johnson to play that part at the moment.
few months down the line it will be cuddly boris or bojo the new iron lady, he is like that old cartoon Mr Benn pops in and out of character as it suits ,to get him were or what he wants

I'm not sure he's some Machiavellian genius tbh. I mean he was outfoxed by Theresa May in the last Tory leadership election.

Maybe in 2017 remain supporters actually thought Labour were the best chance of stopping the worst forms of Brexit? I'm not sure many will have the same view now.

Farage just now on Radio 4:

“If Boris Johnson says look, we're leaving, we're going to have a clean break, we will after that negotiate a trade agreement and no more... Of course, if Boris Johnson said that we the Brexit Party would put country before party. We'd say to Mr Johnson right, we want to help you in any way we can - but I'm afraid that's not what the prime minister wants to do. If Boris Johnson has got the courage to do the right thing, I will be his best friend and back him all the way."

So that's 500 Brexit candidates in the field to take heaps of Tory votes away.

...which is nice.

Maybe not. But those votes wont be going the Tory Party/Brexit Party direction in 2019.

I keep saying that this upcoming GE shouldn't be seen as Tory v Labour but No Deal versus A Deal-Remain.

That's how it'll be determined.

I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable on these things, but if Labour/Corbyn can't drum up a majority via a coalition, but remain the largest party, what happens then?

Praise be.

I'm not familiar with N.I. parliamentary seats, but is Big Arthur Arlene in danger of losing his her seat?

She doesn’t have a seat in Westminster.

She is a queen without a crown....Prime Minister of NI but as that parliament is in mothballs her role is to skulk around Westminster pretending to be party leader whilst Dodds runs the show.

And her days in that role are probably coming to an end as her incompetence and corruption is about to be fully exposed when the RHI Inquiry reports back sometime in the next few weeks.

So,

This Government wants a deal, but it might be forced to leave without one, because of the EU (as per Johnson et al).

This Government doesn't want an election, but might be forced into one because of parliament (as per Raab today).

What's the point of this Government if it can't get anything it wants because of external factors? How is that remotely good governance?

Extension, election, Remain-Alliance Government, Soft Brexit agreed, put it to the people. Now plsthx. We either end up in or out of the political sphere but life will go on for almost all of us as before.
Well there's one here where life could be radically changed. Would you like to be faced with the possibility of having pension capped and health cover withdrawn. The outcome of this idiocity is vital to 3.5 M people from the EU continent living /working in UK and 1.5M UK citizens in EU Europe. Little englanders can only think about themselves.
