A 4-6 week election campaign with Johnson questioned every day.....utter disaster for the Tories.

He'll sicken everyone and more than likely make outrageous comments on race and religion.

My head is hurting here. The fixed term act means the PM cant call a snap election? Because 5 Live keep saying he might. I thought 2/3rds of the HOC needed to agree to one.

What did May do? Cant recall a vote in Parliament then.

There are only two ways to do it one has been coverd get x amount of mps to vote him out , he has enough support to see that off
He can call one if he lost a no confidence vote and after 14 days there isnt a winning vote of confidence in the goverment.
Then its 25 days suspended parliment till the first avaible thursday if he calls an GE
There would have to be somebody in place who could prove they could command a majority to take over a goverment at that point to stop a GE
In these stange times i wonder if some would vote agaist there own side to get a GE if thats the end game?
