My impression was that the remain side were confident of a win last time round and a goodly percentage thought it was in the bag and didn't bother voting. I thought remain would win and so did everyone I spoke to both prior to and after the referendum. I even had the tinfoil hat on suspecting some 'creative counting' would be going on.

I think the remain troops will be mobilised far more effectively this time round as they know it will be their last chance to change things around (if there is a G.E.)
Well no-one can say we are not properly informed this time, whatever the outcome fair warning of the consequences have been highlighted...

Shame really as watching Jim the washing machine salesman (Keith Vaz) have a meltdown at approx 5 am was one of the endearing moments of the live coverage

On the radio earlier Rees Mogg pretty much said that he was opposed to a 2nd referendum precisely because he thought remain would win it.

I agree, if there was another referendum and even if the leave side kept exactly the same number of voters (doubtful), I would still anticipate the remain side would win by a million+ votes

I think a lot of people would back a "No deal Brexit".

Lots of voters have completely swallowed the "it's all Brussels' fault" line and think that a "No deal" won't affect them. I meet such people often. Last Saturday, a woman I know said she hoped we'd leave without a deal because "we're being run by Brussels". I asked her how Brussels had made her do something, or stopped her from doing anything. "Yes, lots of things" "Such as what?" I asked. "Many things". "Name one" "I don't want to discuss it".

Not much of that education education education...

A 4-6 week election campaign with Johnson questioned every day.....utter disaster for the Tories.

He'll sicken everyone and more than likely make outrageous comments on race and religion.

Johnson is the opposition's trump card.

You are living in fantasy land. I'm a labour member and I just won't vote in it. Labours stance on Brexit has been horrific.

Johnson is far more popular than you think

Then you're not much of a LP member are you?

??? The polls suggest a Tory majority
The polls suggest nothing of the sort. Take a look at how people polled feel about a no deal brexit.

Yes I am but I voted to leave.

The polls suggest a Tory majority, labours poll rating is 25%! Truly woeful.

Where are labour going to take votes from??? Tories... Hardly... Ukip no chance.

My mum and my gran both labour voters have told me they will vote for Boris. My GF... A school teacher!!! Boris.

I couldn't ever bring myself to vote Tory so will just avoid the vote

Benefits will have to be slashed in a No Deal crash out as government spending is curtailed

There will be food and medicine shortages in supermarkets and hospitals

Investment in the regions will dry up due to cutbacks

You'll have difficulties with foreign travel to the EU

What person in their right mind would vote for a No Deal candidate?

They can’t slash benefits anymore. People are living on pennies
