It's his way of blaming MPs so that he can claim they're preventing his negotiating position and his strategy.

It's a move towards GE - you either back him or there's no Brexit.

Pretty much this, and deflect any blame from himself "I did what I could"

Been a few Remain supporting MP's on the radio and not one has dropped the slightest hint of their plans, its like the place in on a war footing

Play to the country in anticipation of a GE. He knows he's going to lose the vote this week.

Election before or after the 31st October: watch how much the public finds Johnson unpalatable, despite all nthe BS in the media that he'll be a great campaigner and boost fir the Tories.

The Tories are about to learn a harsh lesson in the next 6-to-8 weeks.

They are detested, and the cabal of crazies in that Cabinet are destested even more than the rest of the Tory Party.

What’s interesting is that they have gone for this cabinet of zealots that will turn off a lot of moderate tories in the shires. Whilst at the same time, if they go into an election talking about a deal they will be nowhere near brexity enough for some.

I’m hoping Johnson has massively miscalculated this.

He looked like a worried man to me.

Last week’s swagger is gone as the threats and bullying and the proroguation don’t seem to be buttering any scones.

Brexit Party are intending to run on a No Deal Brexit ticket in the event of a GE.

But 'nobody is advocating no Deal'

Why the heck would anyone vote for a candidate running on a “No Deal” ticket?

It is quite one thing to be pro Brexit.......but “no deal” is a while nother thang and there is no way it is in your own best interests.

Unless you are a currency speculator or a disaster capitalist of course.

I'm sure some will be taken in by it.

Hopefully. The more votes they can take from the tories in Lib Dem targets the better.

Also good news for Labour as some of the northern seats which have voters which would never vote Tory but may want a brexit option, may be less inclined to go full no-deal Brexit.

There is obviously a number of no brexit zealots that the Brexit party is targeting for votes. Be interesting to see how large this clan actually is. My hunch is that it’s just big enough to dig into the Tory party vote but not big enough to make serious gains in its own right.

I think Brexit will be the only thing voters will look at

On the internet... Family friends colleagues and people I work with are sick to death of it...

Internet it's same people, even listening to radio phone ins on the subject it's the same bleedin people after a while on rotation.

I'm sure Johnson and Farage will want it to be about Brexit just like May, however, General elections have an energy all by themselves.

I also suspect Brexit has been a perfect political cover, but now we are down to brass tacks, Johnson and Farage Brexit, or tactical vote to remain, which for many will mean a vote for Corbyn. We'll see how no no deal and confirmation referendum is really wanted by some in remain...:)

Have been talking to a quite few other leave voters in work about this last few weeks .
There are only two of us going to Labour , others saying they will not vote for them because of there brexit stance/ dont like Corbyn and are going to vote Brexit party as they will not vote for the tories bit still want out.
I am well outnumberd in the leave camp, if this is a reflection of views around the country
I just cant get it through to them what a danger this fella is, no Brexit(for now,it really isnt going to go away anytime soon no matter what happens the next few monthes) is a price worth paying to stop the Boris bandwagon.

He's not waving, he's drowning.

This is desperate stuff.

Imagine seeing this clown lumber through a GE campaign trying to keep a straight line on anything?

He's toxic for the Tories. They all knew it before the leadership campaign was hatched and carried out. Since then the people who hated him in the Tory Party (the vast majority) have folded - but they'll be out in force again at the first stumble.

This clown is toast. No question.

We'll see how no no deal and confirmation referendum is really wanted by some in remain...:)

My impression was that the remain side were confident of a win last time round and a goodly percentage thought it was in the bag and didn't bother voting. I thought remain would win and so did everyone I spoke to both prior to and after the referendum. I even had the tinfoil hat on suspecting some 'creative counting' would be going on.

I think the remain troops will be mobilised far more effectively this time round as they know it will be their last chance to change things around (if there is a G.E.).

Shame really as watching Jim the washing machine salesman (Keith Vaz) have a meltdown at approx 5 am was one of the endearing moments of the live coverage and watching him have another would be awesome
