Just when you believe proper Liberals have gone, up pops Kenneth Clarke on Sky earlier...

Ken Clarke: I will vote down government and could tolerate Corbyn...

We, they, whoever, have to accept the reality that the end game is on. I voted remain, but hey ho, by trick or treat we are where we are. A 2nd referendum solves nothing. A GE solves nothing.

We leave end of October. What that looks like, no one knows. But the die is cast. edit. Or dye. CBA

would honestly rather riot on the streets then get on my knees to vermin like johnson

he might be able to form a government but it wont be a single party government.
And even if it is, half that party hate him.
And even if they dont, his policy of shutting down parliament to get what he wants will hardly instill confidence in future trading partners.

I think people both inside the U.K. and outside the U.K. will see Boris as a leader who does what he says. I’d rather deal with someone like that than someone like Corbyn who doesn’t know what side of the fence he’s sitting.....

There are buildings, art collections, wine collections a European Bank, etc etc......,who owns them.....
what? the EU as an entity has invested in art and wine and holds them as assets? Not having a go, just never thought about it really.
I would have thought any money for art would go to funding the arts, capital of culture etc. not really an asset.

And the question in this statement is where exactly ?
There isn't one. But it was in response to a question that you posed. You then suggested that asking questions was frowned upon in the thread...

Look:
You asked a question and @Bruce Wayne replied
They aren't in government, so there's kind of a limit to what can be achieved. As before though, given that you've said just above this that you don't want no deal, that you still feel the need to engage in whataboutism rather than hold Johnson and his cabinet to account for a frankly shameless act.
You then decide that you aren't allowed to ask questions because he replied.
Ah, didn't realise that manipulation is ok for one side and not the other

Again my bad, asking questions another big no no

Thanks, I am fairly happy with my cynicism of politics and politicians, there is a heck of lot of good people around for me to be too a hard cynic about society in general.

And now you're suggesting you never asked a question.

Sorry, ran out of edit time: I think Johnson is a buffoon, however he does have some very clever people around him and I am fairly sure from what I have read that what they have done might be shady but its not illegal and I think there is a difference.

but as Donald Trump aptly said, politicians can do anything they like these days and their supporters won't bat an eyelid.

He isn't that wrong though is he ? even in this thread (I know its the EU rather than a political party but bear with me) I cannot believe every remain voter in here is absolutely 100% happy with everything the EU has done, is doing or will do.

But I don't see any dissenting voices from a remain voter criticising anything regarding the EU (if they have I must have missed it).

I can quite happily criticise Johnson / Farage or whoever, I voted to leave for my own personal reasons not theirs.

Sorry, but I never said they would be.

I certainly think the standing we have versus the standing the EU has, in terms of market size, will make us the junior partner in some, but thats obvious. And I think the US in particular will drive their big bumper car pretty aggressively against our much smaller one.

Perhaps, but if say you were negotiating something on your own against 5 other lads who grouped together, yet they wanted to sell you a great deal more to you than you would be selling to them, how would you approach the negotiation......
