As I said Pete, the document she has expressly says unless there is a change in government policy, which isn't exactly a cast iron guarantee in my opinion. The Tories have expressed a hostile attitude towards migrants for years, so it's not an especially nice time right now.

"You're considered settled unless we change our mind. I hope that settles your mind. Right, that's settled."

It's actually an over 60s 'Retirement Living" development. I don't need carers. My mum has them and non of them are European.
The bit about the family owned businesses with very small margins is as much a threat as the reliance on an EU workforce.

I'd also point out that, and I know this may be hard for some, but just because you might 'be alright Jack' doesn't mean that everyone that is your age or shares similar circumstances does not rely on EU workers.

I bow to your in-depth knowledge. Now I'm going to concentrate on the game.

I imagine the Tories are going to be toast in Scotland at the next election.

She is certainly more than credited in being responsible for the 13 Scottish Tory MPs. The delay in announcing is some sort of political play, however I have no idea what that play could be ?
...a Tory darling, be interesting if she names Johnson as the reason.
Talk of her as potential PM not so long ago...

Fairly sure it said that. Working in the NHS she was probably among the first to apply, as it was opened to NHS employees as part of the pilot. It's possible the language has changed now, I don't know.

Bruce they will always attach these sort of things. I know this is extreme, but if Slovakia declared war on the U.K. then the U.K. might intern Slovakian citizens. Lawyers always put worst case conditions into laws to cover any eventuality, however extreme......

True, the UK will always reserve the right to limit access or settled status for certain groups or nationalities - as will any country.

I think the nervousness, certainly among those that I have spoken to, is the way that EU Nationals are being used as leverage or a target for punitive action against the EU.
