At the end of the day this what we all wanted, most of us remainers would have gone with it if the government could have come up with a workable plan. The fact they can't proves that the brexit idea was a busted flush and the fact that most support going out no deal and all is just throwing the baby out with the bath water.
75 percent of the government are remainers who cannot accept democracy.....

What manifesto? Labour have not published a manifesto for next General election.

Its only the Conservative party that has any morale obligations to honour it's last manifesto because they won the last election on what was in it.

All oppositions are free to seek and build new manifesto pledge's.
The last was to honour the vote of the referendum outcome......

DEMOCRACY': A play in two acts, by Joey66

Act 1 - A Brussels office:

Barnier (I'm not typing the accent): "These are the technical details to work out"
Davis: "Democracy"
Barnier: "Yes, but there are some serious matters to attend to do here. Citizens' rights, the financial settlement, and not forgetting the Irish border."
Davis (who has forgotten Ireland even exists): "Democracy, Fritz" Quits
Barnier: "I'm actually not German, but regard... this needs to be sorted. Oh, you've changed negotiator."
Raab: "Democracy"
Barnier: "Look, we've just gone ahead and assumed reciprocal rights for citizens. The money is somewhere around this number scribbles. And the border will need to remain as-is until we can sort it down the line. We'll need a firm assurance on that."
Raab: "No matez, Democracy. We absolutely promise to give you an assurance on that, somewhere down the line"
Barnier: No, the assurance comes now, that we sort something later."
Raab: "Okay. Democracy" Quits
Barnier: "Time is running short, and this stuff needs signing off"
Barclay: "Democracy. Leave it with me" Leaves

Act 2 - The House of Commons. The Deal has failed to pass 3 times

Barclay: "Democracy is why you should vote for this extension. And Democracy is why I'm about to vote against it. Democracy for all, and for all their own democracy!"
The EU do t know the meaning of the word.....
I tell you what they can do with their four freedoms - four cakes for fourpence them away....from the UK......

It's when you have a vote, and you are dead soft not to recognise who won it :D

But you just said the word which didn't answer the question you asked. Your pig-headed refusal to engage with any nuance and any suggestion that maybe this isn't as black and white as you want it to be is baffling. The lack of intellectual rigour shown by so many is why we're all being taken for a ride at the behest of very wealthy men. You and people who behave like this have to take your share of the blame but instead you'd rather shout nonsense.

BBC and the Guardian confirming this, the Queens Speech to be on 14th October which will mean Parliament 3rd-11th September, then prorogued.

"Take back control" lol

pete and joey, your man is destroying the country

They don't care. They're angry men who want their say and damn everyone else

No comment dead soft ......did you not see my quip in there .......

Boris saying he is proroguing Parliament in order for the Government to get on with its agenda

Thing is for Johnson, he can say that he did all that he could to force through Brexit if he’s stopped. It’s no lose as far as his popularity amongst the Brexit masses is concerned. If he’s thwarted he’ll blame it on the undemocratic left and Tory liberals. Pushing the tories further right. Dangerous times ahead no matter how this plays out.

Take this another way Joey.

After the referendum vote what exactly did you want or expect parliament to do? You have said yourself a good deal is important. They have tried that route.

I'm just curious what role you expected for a government or parliament to have? And at what point is any MP allowed to have their opinion?

Lastly what about the 48%? Do you think its simply a case of "tough sh#t"? Even you must agree that's very stupid/harsh given the age imbalance of the vote means its the younger remain generations that will have to live through it all?
