Yes but then you're straying into conspiracy theory territory here.I would then consider the overall effect of Globalisation and how that feels if you haven't gone to university, are immobile and living near where you grew up, poorly paid and insecure work etc.
It could seem like a big stitch up between elites across the Continent with Westminster fully playing its part.
I agree that these groups feel completely disconnected from the general media focus, which often just highlights London and big cities. I'm not surprised people don't feel like they are represented, because they aren't really, unless it's negatively or with sympathy.
Quite often, it's these areas that feel they are having asylum seekers and Refugees 'forced' on them and having to bear the brunt of costs - because in many other areas of social policy they are hit hardest.
And yet, they are dancing to the tune of people that couldn't care less about them and swallowing the misinformation about the EU. The thing is, if we leave, it will hit them even harder.
